The series had its last chapter this week, making it towards its end (for now). For some reason, the last couple of chapters were purely rushed.

Yes. The ranking was really low and because of that, around towards the last couple of chapters, it got rushed heavily due to it. So yes, this is what happens to the series when it get cancelled. Imagine that for other series...

I've read the spinoff. I think its just a one-shot thing because I tried looking for it again but I could not find any link for the spinoff.
The spinoff I think its mostly about the day to day events in the oga household after the final chapter. The one I've read its about Beel going to kindergarten and how beel's grandma trying to help beel find some friends from the kindergarten.
