Hey! Crazichi here! I joined this site as a safe haven from NaruSaku bashing. I love that ship, but I know with Naruto comes opposing viewpoints, especially with a ship like NaruSaku. I figure this is the one place I can go to get away from shipping wars and just dwell peacefully with my fellow shippers. I'm not sure what people usually write here, but I guess I'll write about my history with NaruSaku, how I came to ship it and yada yada yada.
Anyway, I figure I'll start with Naruto and Sakura as individuals. I have loved Naruto since the very first episode. He is sweet, adorable, determined, caring strong, selfless, as well as being goofy, loud, and never thinking before he acts. Sakura, however, annoyed me to no end. Her stupid crush on Sasuke, her uselessness on missions, her unreasonable rudeness to Naruto. And still, for some reason, I never hated her. I didn't like her character, but at the same time I did. I believe the MOST important part of any character is it's development. Even if they suck in the beginning, if they can learn from their failures and shortcomings and become a better person, I will automatically love and admire them for it. One reason I believe that I never truly hated Sakura was because I figured her character was SO bad that she could only get better from there. Turns out I was right because as the series progressed, her character did develop and I started to like her more and more. She started to value things other than her crush on Sasuke, and hence, started to value people besides Sasuke too. She saw people like Naruto and realized how they've always been there for her and cared for her more than Sasuke ever did and that really helped to lower the shallowness of her character. Of ALL the characters, I believe she developed the most (as well as Sasuke, but he changed for the worst), and I admire her character for that.
As for NaruSaku, well I've loved that from the very beginning. It wasn't just that I loved Naruto and since he loved Sakura, I wanted him to get the girl he wants. Not at all, because remember, I didn't like Sakura and I should've thought Naruto deserved better. But just as I couldn't get myself to EVER hate Sakura, I guess I figured there had to be some reason Naruto liked her so much. Though NaruSaku, SasuSaku, and NaruHina started off fairly the same way (one-sided crushes) I was immediately drawn to NaruSaku since, for some reason, I felt that would be the one that would develop the most. I, again, was right, and it developed more than most of the relationships in the entire series. Naruto loved her from the beginning, yes, but Sakura's feelings have changed immensely since the beginning of the series. Sakura's crush on Sasuke faded (mostly in Part 2), while Sasuke never showed ANY signs of EVER have feelings for Sakura, and I honestly think at some points he kind of hated her. Hinata continued to admire (I think she's confusing her admiration for Naruto with love) Naruto, while he went from thinking she was a "weird girl" to thinking of her as a fellow comrade (though I don't think she's any higher on his scale than, say, Kiba). However, Sakura went from thinking Naruto was
1) a nuisance that deliberately got in the way of her and Sasuke. To:
2) figuring since they're teammates she should try to be nicer. To:
3) caring for him and acknowledging his dream of becoming Hokage. To:
4) realizing how much he cares for her and how far he would go for her. To:
5) realizing how much she cares for him and how far she would go for him. To:
6) possibly having feelings for him (?)
And of course, all the stages in between because it's near impossible to completely list the development these two have.
I believe Sakura is in love with Naruto and that any feelings she still harbors for Sasuke are habit, or a ghost of her previous crush on him.
In one scene in the manga, a man asks Sakura out and she rejects him saying there is someone else. We then see a blurry image of a younger Sasuke. Why was the image blurry? There are many memories where though the pictures are grayer or darker, the images are clear, but when she thinks of Sasuke, the image is blurry. I feel this is to show how her feelings for him now are unclear or fading. Sakura is confused, not to mention at war, and REALLY shouldn't be thinking about "love" right now. When the war is over, depending on the outcome of Naruto and Sasuke's final battle, she will choose between them, and honestly, her and Naruto are so close, I really can't even imagine her picking Sasuke over him. That decision would literally thow her years of character development in a dirty toilet. Just because I can't imagine it, doesn't mean it's not possible.
I could go on for hours about why I love NaruSaku and how it's developed, but ignoring all of the analyzing and logical stuff that comes with NaruSaku, when I saw them together for the first time in Naruto, I just had a feeling, NaruSaku just felt right. And sometimes that's all it really comes down to.
Ships I hate:
NaruHina, SasuSaku, ShikaTema, SasuHina (I don't even hate it as much as it just annoys me that people think it's possible), NejiTen, KakaIru.
Characters I love:
NARUTO!!! (He's my husband. It's true. I have papers.), Sakura, Gaara, Neji, Lee, Guy, Orochimaru, Sasori, Deidara, Kiba/Akamaru, Zabuza, Haku, Tobi-Obito (They're the same, I have a theory that I will post later.), Kakazu, Jiriya, Inari, Konohamaru, Kurama.
Character I HATE:
Hinata.
Love/Hate Characters:
Sasuke (why, Sasuke? why do you conflict me, so?)

It's not willingly, I don't want to ship Naruto with that selfish, arrogant, jerk, but I can't help it! Their relationship is so deep and intriguing, as well as been sweet and funny at some parts in Part 1. I won't get too into why I ship it (if you really wanna know, you can message me), but I will say that if this ship happened, I would be happy, but would cry tears of sorrow for NaruSaku, though I can't say that I wouldn't be kind of sad for SasuNaru if NaruSaku happens too. And if a ship like NaruHina or SasuSaku happens and they both lose out, well, then I might as well just crawl into a cave and beat myself with a stick.
