Does anyone know of any real good Harry x Hermione fics? I was kinda thinking back over the series, and I remembered that when it ended, I had felt the ending was...lackluster, I guess? There was a couple things I didn't like, and today I kinda came to the realization that I liked Harry and Hermione together better than I thought, and there was a little disappointment there. It's not that I didn't like Harry and Ginny, I just liked Harry and Hermione more. Plus, I didn't like Ron and Hermione at all, I don't think that's a good relationship (I had heard that Rowling admitted as much, and said she made a mistake or something)...

So yeah...any recommendations?

Anything by the authors chem prof, robst, canoncansodoff, sprinter1988, DriftWood1965 and Bobmin356 are probably my favorite Harry Potter ff writers and they all focus mainly on Harry/Hermione fics. Bobmin356 does have some non-H/Hr fics but the writing is superb anyway, so I would definitely check them out. 

And that just goes right back to showing that Kishi never saw Hinata as a real kunoichi, but still continued to see her as he originally envisioned her - a civilian.
 

 

That's why people compare Kishi and JK, but have far greater respect for JK since she actually came out and admitted that, in hindsight, she could've done things better, including the pairings, when asked about it whereas Kishi just continues to make excuses and lie / follow the lying scripts handed to him by SP and Shueisha..

Exactly, ever since Naruto ended I've always noticed the similarities between the Naruto ending and the Harry Potter ending for both pairing reasons and the amount of unanswered questions that we as fans have. In both series, you have the main character who ends up being paired with a fan girl who has potential but so little panel/screen time that we know pretty much nothing about her, and then the heroine is paired with a boy/man who has betrayed her multiple times, could have led to her death and picks on/berates her for the smallest things. At least with Ginny in the Harry Potter books, you got to see her personality and attitude much more than Hinata, and even then Ginny was a minor character in all but one book (HBP) while Hinata was a minor character for the entire Naruto series

In regards to the first paragraph, why does Naruto garner any blame for the person Sakura has turned out to be? And also, did you forget Sakura did the exact same thing as Naruto? Sakura used Sasuke for her pissing contest with Ino, yet routinely gets no flak for that. There are only two differences between Naruto and Sakura when it comes to that. The first is that there was an exorbitant amount of evidence that Sakura's only reason for pining after Sasuke was to beat Ino, while there was no evidence to suggest that about Naruto. The second difference between her and Naruto is that Sakura succeeded whereas Naruto failed.

That's exactly right!!!! While both are at fault, Sakura used Sasuke as a measuring stick in her rivalry with Ino, she even admits that Ino is her rival in love!!! Naruto never does admit to using Sakura as a way to beat Sasuke, I honestly think that Kishi and the writers of The Last just used that as an excuse to destroy any chance of Naruto and Sakura getting together. The fact that it only can be a man's feelings that change is ridiculous, and unrealistic. That's why I hate more on the writers than the characters because they were the one's in charge of giving these characters life, and Kishi and comp. totally ruined them.

But what you suggested could be considered as good drama too.   But I guess you mean a good drama (+some action) about living in a world after war vs a good drama about family problems, right? I'm going with the post-war drama, of course. It would wrap up the main story, after all.

Yeah, I would go with this one, the post-war drama, showing how all the characters dealt with the aftermath of the war. So many of the 'older' characters talked about war and how it needed to be avoided at all costs (Tsunade, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, Kakashi, etc.) and we saw how it affected those characters, but it seems like Naruto's generation got through the war pretty much unscathed (excluding Neji who was sacrificed at the NH altar) . I would have loved to have seen the immediate aftermath of the war, Kakashi taking over as Hokage, Naruto rising through the ranks, glimpses of Sasuke's "atonement" mission. But we got this...

Hey all, I was wondering what everyone thought was the best place to start a Naruto fan fiction at? I've written ones only starting at the beginning of the series, a total rewrite if you will, but I've seen fics starting at the beginning of the series, after the Wave Arc, after the Sasuke Retrival Mission and ones starting at the beginning of the Shippuden series. Which do most people prefer of those options?

I thought Harry/Hermione/Ron was a pretty good triangle..sort of. I would have preferred Harry and Hermione but you know, I can see where Ron and Ginny came in because J.K did sort of develop it.

In the books, there wasn't any love triangle between the Golden Trio but because of the movies and the fandom, the love triangle angle between Ron, Hermione and Harry exploded. I've always felt that Harry and Hermione were better off, or at least their relationship was the most fleshed out and complete in the Harry Potter series. Book Ginny is so much better than Movie Ginny, that after watching the films I can't stand Ginny's character because she's pretty much a wall flower, a lot like Hinata is. 

I think that if Sakura was sterile and had agreed to raise Sasuke and Karin's child, Sarada, you could look at it in two opposing view points: one, Sakura is being a very caring person in taking care of Sarada since Sasuke and Karin, seemingly refuse to raise their own daughter, or two, Sakura's character has so totally been destroyed by Kishi that all she is now is a slave to Sasuke's every whim.

I will also raise a complimentary theory here: I wonder if Sakura's womb was damaged during the war at some point, Sasuke convinced Karin to be a surrogate and that's why Sarada's apparently has Karin's DNA as well as Sasuke's. Also, Sakura could have easily put a genjutsu over her body to make people think that she was pregnant.

But as others have said, the Naruto Gaiden has pretty much hit rock bottom...though with Kishi, not sure if there is a rock bottom for him to hit.

Wow, there are no words to describe how smug I am right now. Sakura's happiest moment with Sasuke being the 'forehead poke' in 699 is a total kitten grab to make it seem like Sasuke actually cares about her. And I love how Sakura didn't actually answer Sarada's question about if she and Sasuke had ever kissed!?!?!?! Sakura's expressions and evasion of the question tell me that she was thinking about the time that 'Sasuke' complimented her on her forehead in Chapter 3 and that she still doesn't know that it was actually Naruto that did it. Sakura didn't want to tell Sarada about that because she probably felt that Sarada was too young to understand or something like that. Oh I love just watching Kishi just tear down his creation like this, it is sweet poetic justice for the complete and utter trash that he spewed at the end.

In regards to Sakura's 'happy memory' of Sasuke, what if it is when 'Sasuke' complimented her on her forehead way back in chapter 3, I think? If that is Sakura's lone happy memory of her relationship with Sasuke, then kittens are gonna hit the fan so hard and all of us NS shippers should just sit back and watch the carnage and laugh.
