She's not the writer, she's been the director of both the second and now the third Kung Fu Panda.
The movie is being written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. These guys have written the other Kung Fu Panda movies and have also wrote the screenplay for Monsters VS Aliens. They've also written episodes for King of the Hill and MadTV.
That being said, the writers and director often share a lot of creative control.
