I have no doubt the pairing that we are expecting will be the ones that happen, that's another takeaway from Rave master.

 

Ironically I just reread the last chapter of Rave Master and Haru's (the MC) parents are called Sakura and Gale Glory,

Personally, Sakura Natsumi Dragneel has a really nice sound to it. It's also a reference to perhaps the moment Lucy started falling in love with Natsu. (The Rainbow Sakura, anyone?)

I'll do a little theory video on this maybe tomorrow, but remember Zeref still has the book of E.N.D.  I think that is prime reason why Natsu is still alive, and maybe getting rid of the seed severed his connection to Zeref, not necessarily E.N.D. himself... though that book is the reason why Natsu felt pain I guess in a sense like Tom Riddle in the Chamber of Secrets.

What's been your thoughts on the alvarez  arc so far?

 

I've seen some people claiming this to be worse than Grand Magic Games.

 

For me it's meh. Just the usually things I except from a fairy tail arc: Power of friendship or because she is erza explanations of how they won a fight, introduce a new group of threatening villains only to never fully live up to their hype and too much over the top fanserivce in unneeded moments.

Pro's at least are the lore and history that have been introduced in the arc: Eillen's backstory and the history of dragon slayers, Mavis relationship with Zeref  fully fleshed and how it led to certain events such Hades decent into darkness, Lucy's family history and how it connects with Brandish, Zerf's & Natsu and the rest of the dragon slayers history and of course Zeref himself his relations to Natsu finally revealed to be his older brother , why he built the R-syterm and the Eclipse gate just to bring back his little brother makes sense, why he created the demons to kill him in the first place because of his curse and the curse itself explains Zeref conflicting characteristics of cherishing life but at the same time despising it. To me zeref is the best and most complex character in the series and one of the only reasons I still read this series.

The biggest cons are the cop out deaths on Fairy tail is absolutely ridiculous and even downright insulting. I know some fans probably complained when Gajeel or juvia supposedly died because they didn't want them to die and stuff (coughpairingscough), but having them come back so soon (or juvia's case 1 chapter) ruins the suspence and emotions felt when they apparently died. That when Makarov died people questioned whether or not he was dead or would stay dead, despite him being perefectly fiting the obi wan type mentor role of a charcter death (in my opinion he should of died against ether Hades or acnologia on terno island and have someone Laxus take over instead of him becoming the 6th and 8th master again). I know Hiro gave a reason why he wouldn't kill these characters but its ridiculous and it wastes the opportunity to turn this war into a bitter sweet one because we know Fairy tail is going to win in the end, but at the coast of losing some of their beloved family wouldn't cause for a imedante celebration. Plus its not like Hiro isn't capable of killing of characters given how the magic council was wiped out, simon's death and how igneel was killed battling acnologia.

 

Granted it's nowhere near as bad as Naruto or Bleach's war arcs got, but depending how the August, zeref or acnologia the only characters that still have their hype left are taken care of could change my opinion. For pairings it's pretty clear who getting who unless Hiro pulls a kishi, which I can honestly see turning half of his remaining fans against him. Also what is the deal with shonen manga making the final wars 2-3 days long that seems more like the length of a grand battle instead.

I get that vibe too but I is good since that was a good movie. But Natsu demon seed is gone, so really they need to keep the book safe to keep natsu alive but that makes worried about what Gray's going to do.

Well to be fair, all Zeref really wants is to die, so if his death feels like a copout, that's because it is deliberate. Acnologia, on the other hand, better not.

The only way I can see Zeref's curse being removed from a logicial standpoint is "possibly" involving the God Ankseram which is where the whole curse thing began. Sure that's where the curse all started, but if it's brought up again maybe it can be where the curse ends too. 

 

 

 

 

You know I've also been rewatching Fairy Tail Zero cause I love the story and thought Hiro put into Mavis and her backstory.. Anyway the point is I remember Zera played a part in the current arc,  do you guys feel it was handled well? or do you think Hiro could've done more with Zera with the amount of time she had? 

 

 

Also my cousin Ria brought this up last night when it comes to arc comparisons to other series, and I found her analysis kinda interesting..   She was comparing the current arc in Fairy Tail to The Thousand Year Blood War Arc in Bleach where it had great to good moments the quality started to be either hit or miss around the Ice palace section, and she thinks the Alvarez arc has a similar situation ever since Eillen's Universe 1 magic came into affect.    

 

After thinking about it I kinda have to agree with her..  granted she also said that there is a chance the arc can regain it's momentum based on how August, Zeref, and Acnologia are being handled,  and she also believes like us that E.N.D. is far from over given how Natsu mirrors Ellie in a way from Rave Master, and how greatly Hiro handled her character throughout the series.

The first half of the final arc of bleach was good but it's started to lose itself after yhwach became the soul king. Or he could pull a kishi and have the God who cursed zeref as the final villain though I think the God would be better handled than kaguya. I wonder if we will see zeref and natsu before natsu died cause I want to see what kind of brother zeref was to natsu so I can rub it in the itachi and Sasuke fans.

Currently rereading Rave Master at the moment, and I feel Natsu isn't similar to Ellie in terms of the plot of the stories, but as far as characters are concerned I think he and Ellie kinda mirror one another, and in a way I think Haru and Lucy kinda mirror each other.

Since when has anyone died? I'm willing to bet Markarov will be miracle revived in the near future too. The concept of death has become a joke in this series truth be told on the level of American comic books. Not that it's a bad thing to me mind you, I just wonder what's the point of actually  "seeming" to kill someone off at this point
