Well, the jutsu is as irrelevant as the owner.
I always feel that lion jutsu is Hinata Pom Pom.

NH fans said Hinata is like Minato because he always watch over kushina from afar, when she was beat up by that chunnin shinobi in a place there a lot sakura trees minato was watching just like when naruto suffering from his loneliness hinata was there watch him, and when kushina was taken by shinobi of kumogakure minato was there to rescue her when no other shinobi from konoha come, just like when naruto was lose and almost captured by pain hinata was the one who rescue him when no other shinobi comes, even sakura. Thats why they say NH parallel with MK, not NS.
If its cannon then why on gaiden chapter 8 [correct me if i wrong], when naruto was thinking about his past, iruka was the first person there not hinata?. Isn't in the the last hinata was the first person before iruka who was there for him?
 
Remember the chapter where naruto said to sakura "Home is a place where someone thinking about you, so if we think about sasuke he will eventually return, thats why we have to keep thinking about him". To me i believe SS and NH happen because theres a lot of people who support and wants it happen. We just not lucky enough ... if only our fan base alot more higher then both of them im sure NS will be cannon. I have to keep thinking that NS is cannon and will happen one day ....

The lion fist drains the chakra network of those they touch. So it's not like how Sakura can pour chakra into her fist and cause a lot of destructive damage.

( ugh the narutowiki was just praising the crap out of this jutsu, basically saying the same thing that was said about Sakura and Tsunade's super strength, how it takes precise chakra control and that even the slightest mistake was fatal and how it was such an impressive feat.)

Vs pain and when Hinata attack the jubi fodder only for kishi to skip it lol.

I don't think what she did as chakra control but more chakra(form) manipulation, like rasengan or samurai chakra weapon.

Yeah. He didn't even bother to show the effects, which is why I looked it up, otherwise I just thought it did some form of damage, since she used it on the mini juubi.

It's funny because being able to stop and take away the one thing that defined ninja, should be treated as an important thing, but because the byakugan looks creepy and the Uchihas are more attractive, the sharingan was praised as the greatest thing since sliced bead, while the byakugan was treated like chopped liver.

( I bet it is just a form of chakra manipulation, but it doesn't sound as impressive as, " if you make the slightest mistake it could be fatal", so chakra control it was.)

The Last was created for Hinata, so of course everything was about her feelings instead of Naruto.

Sakura in the last was so different from how she was in canon, with the way she didn't even care about Naruto's feelings, when in the manga she cried knowing how horrible he was treated and his fate as a jinchuuriki. That's why I refuse to watch the movie, cause Sakura was just used by SP to be the cheerleader to their " precious" waifu and it makes me sick.

So if The Last was made for NH, is it safe to assume Gaiden was intended for SS? If so, both did a poor job of genuinely showing the growth and development of the respective pairings. As others have noted, it's blindingly obvious NS was the most supported and logical pairing.
