#939087 Naruto: Alternative The Last (Doujinshi)

Posted by VoodooFX on 04 May 2017 - 09:34 PM

I see no reason why this chapter would divide NS fans in any way. It's authors interpretation of how the story went, he's doing it out of love for the characters that were walked over by their creator, drawing it in his free time for no reward whatsoever.

I for one am grateful we have someone stepping up to the task of redrawing the whole panels and reworking the story in a way that's worthy of the characters and so far he's done a fantastic job.

For me personally this scene played out exactly as I envisioned it - and I love it. I always believed this would be Naruto's response, should Sai have ever confronted him, after fulfilling his POAL. After witnessing the things he did in the final stretch (Ch.693 onward) there's no way he would just run to her and say: hey look now that I brought Sasuke back, it's only fair that I tell you I love you and you need to choose. Naruto is selfless and he would never just throw himself at her like that. He would have given her time and space to figure out what she feels.

That being said I don't see this chapter as him giving up on her, just doing what he thinks will bring her happiness. Let's not forget, "love out of rivalry" scene never happened here, Sakura never confronted Naruto while he just sat silently there like an idiot, not standing up for himself and his true feelings - which is still my biggest gripe with the Last, along with him immediately shifting to Hinata, or however that went (never seen the actual movie).

He said it best in one (albeit filler) episode we all know by heart: "...and before I knew it, I was in love with her. Of course even if I do feel this way, I would never ever try to force her to love me, I'd be no different from the guy just now."

I think some manga artists draw from real experience.. Or that it sort of affects the way they write about this subject. If their manga becomes super popular then they tend to be really busy for years on end. If they marry and have kids then they don’t have time to spend with their kids and can end up being hated.

I don’t know or anything but.. i wouldn’t be surprised if Kishimoto has a difficult relationship with his son.

It makes me think about the last volume of Rurouni Kenshin, where Kenshin's cute little son Kenji seems to resent his father, and is described in the end notes as growing up to be twisted.

This was the case with Kishi as well, no question about it.

I remember an interview where he said that becoming a father changed him so much, he wanted Naruto to meet his parents, which was not the plan when he started writing the story.

#936524 Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker an...

I've bought Storm3 for PC way before the manga ended and from what little I've played it, it was really a great and fun game.

Then my GF forbade me playing it, because it was full of story spoilers for Shippuuden, which, at the time, she hadn't watched yet. Actually, she's just begun watching it a month or so ago.

Anyways, I have nothing against the developers, they weren't the ones that ruined the story, they've just adapted it into a game, so anyone wanting a good Naruto game can't go wrong with this collection. If you're Narusaku fan, just skip 4th game and whatever came/comes after it.

So who's ready for tomorrow's newest series!?

Not me, haven't touched anything post Ch700 and from what I've seen so far around the net ... god riddance for that!

#936106 Naruto Character designs discussion

Posted by VoodooFX on 02 April 2017 - 03:47 PM

Don't know anything about Boruto chapter controversy and don't really care what designs they've changed there.

As for the past installments, I really loved the Shippuuden designs of Naruto and Sakura, where especially Sakura had been drawn really well in some of the panels.

Anyways, I think both of them translated really well from Part 1 to Part 2, with keeping most of their original, design wise, traits in tact. Sasuke, on the other hand wasn't so lucky with each iteration his design getting more worse than the last, with last iteration being by far the worst of any characters.

Naruto was worst in The Last era, with only slight improvement in Chapter 700 and beyond, but still a far cry from Part 1 & 2.

#933715 From a writing standpoint, what exactly is the appeal of Naruto and Hinata?

Posted by VoodooFX on 06 March 2017 - 11:31 AM

I saw the filler as well & lmao...

As I was watching it, I got increasingly bored so I started to skip around to find out where tf our main hero & heroine Naruto and his otaku hug pillow Hinata were. And they were essentially nowhere in sight. Which I think, only proved one thing to me personally: they're just so effin' boring together that they can't even pull a lax conversation with one another...

I had wanted them to have significant scenes with each other to see how they both brought out the other's character, mainly Hinata's. See how they made plans, chat about the clothing they'll be wearing, try on some funny clothes & tease one another about it perhaps(?), etc. just to showcase their "chemistry", what made it unique and to generally see how in love they were. SP had a nice opportunity to meddle with NaruHina deeper and to add some spice to their bland relationship, no matter how OOC it might have been because really, everyone feels a little OOC at this point.

I commend you and every other soul, who still has the stomach to watch this in animated form.

I always assumed that she was referring to what she already knew from Sai.

Well I've only seen screencaps from the Last and from that assumed that he confessed sometime in the past.

And I guess with movie not dwelling into this matter further, she could have very well been referring to the things she's been told to by Sai.

Sorry for going off-topic, but reading unhskikrforever's post two posts up raised a question in my head...  has Naruto's confession to Sakura (as stated in the Last) ever been explained/animated?

Since they've animated a poopload of other useless junk from novels and even the wedding, they could have at least animated this NS bit that would show us just how exactly the whole thing played out between the two of them.

#932899 It Looks Like The Boruto Manga Writer (Ukyo Kodachi) Hates SasuSaku

Posted by VoodooFX on 23 February 2017 - 07:42 PM

I still can't get used to the adult character art of the Team7, with Sasuke being the worst of them all, I mean who the hell is the dude in those pictures?

Looks nothing like Sasuke.

#932322 new kishimoto interview 2017

Posted by VoodooFX on 15 February 2017 - 10:35 PM

.... fans still continued to hate Sakura after her the potential that Kishi had gave her (like her fight with Sasori), and realized that Sakura would be hated no matter what he does with her, which is why he dropped her. He gave us genuine Sakura and especially NS moments during the first half of Part 2; even his wife supported NS and Sakura. Of course he's doing damage control, but honestly I'm more convinced that fans (and his editors) pushed Kishi into the idea that Sakura was going to be a lost cause not matter what and you should focus on SNS (and Hinata).

Well put, NeonRanger. That's exactly my stance on the matter.

Sakura didn't really have a fighting chance with such an immature fanbase ... and Kishi, being greedy and spineless like he is, said: "why bother anyway, have it your way!", took the money and ran.

Come on. You're exaggerating. There best parts from his ideas and from both him and the editor.

Yeah, I am, but at the same time, I have no faith in his next project being anything worthwhile.

Contradiction in every interview he does.

I hope when he said that he learned from the Naruto manga on the know-how and stuff, is that he won't follow much other persons control of his writing of the manga along with the characters development assassination.

I think he'll do more of what he intends on doing in his next manga.

Then I guess his next manga will be quite a short one, as I understand it, the best parts of Naruto story came from his first editor and not Kishi himself :)

#929924 Do My Eyes Decieve Me ?! Hinata Worried About Sasuke ?! Big Step With...

Posted by VoodooFX on 05 January 2017 - 11:27 PM

I'm probably reading your statistics post wrong or something, but how do any of these number prove that NH is hated by 90% of the countries? All I see is that, while losing % after 2014 (which is understandable since the manga ended late that year), both SS and NH are still going strong on Pixiv. And that's a Japanese site, correct?

Then you cite 2ch forums (or whatever 2ch is) how there was almost no hate toward the ending, how SS is filing thread after thread with no sign of stopping, and how that scumbag propaganda was nothing but a fabrication (which I fully believe, since there was a lot of that after the ending). How exactly is this shooting down NH and SS popularity, if anything it goes to show that they were right in making these two the end game.

And that's my biggest gripe with Naruto news, really. So much of it is nothing but no-source, unreliable propaganda, fabrication and downright guessing games.

All I constantly read is how the pairings are hated by everyone, how Japan hates SS and NH, how no one cares about Boruto, yet the movie made more than any previous Naruto movie at the Box office, then how SP are desperately trying to add more NS into the anime, I mean what the hell people...?

When the viewers fall below a planned number, SP will kill the anime without hesitation, it's won't be the first series they'll cancel and it won't be the last.

I mean does any of us know anyone working at SP or Shonen?? Because it's always ... "I hear people at SP are all NH fans", "the word is people at SJ made Kishi do this, do that"... "My freind who lives in Japan told me he heard the Japanese are furious at Kishi"... I mean come on... enough of this.

The reason the anime is failing is probably because people got sick of all the fillers, the end was animated two years after the manga ended, who's gonna wait that long?

NH got their fix with the last manga chapters and The last, so they have no reason to stick with the anime.

SS think their pairing is the next best thing since sliced bread and are too cool to give a damn about the telltale signs that their pairing is trash.

And a great majority of either two camps don't give a damn about what happened/happens in Naruto after their pairings became canon... which is why Boruto manga sales numbers are not that great (if they really are, don't know, don't care) - only few really care about the kids era.

I think the whole kids thing was a mistake, yes even if NS became canon, taking the kids route would have been a mistake. A reunited adult version of team7... now that would have been a much better course for the series, if they didn't want to kill the series (which they should have done).

The bottom line is... we know nothing for certain, the how and whys, how things work at SP or SJ, nothing. We're all only guessing, and what little came from official channels (kishi & co) can't really be trusted, but it's still more solid than any hearsay we're constantly being bombarded with.

TL:DR: we know nothing for certain, the ending won't change.

#929392 Naruto the highs and lows of the series

Posted by VoodooFX on 27 December 2016 - 11:48 PM

I hope Kishimoto learned his lesson for his next manga. I'm going to give him a chance with his next manga by seeing if the hero and heroine are like Naruto and Sakura or at least similar in main characteristics, and if the story was good in some aspects.

If these two initials of mine are met then I'll read the first arc and see if I continue on with the manga afterwards.

Oh, I think he learned his lesson first time around. For his next next manga he'll either stay clear of pairings completely, or he'll cement them right at the beginning and skip the game of cat and mouse, he did with pairings in Naruto.

Maybe he'll even make all his characters robots, just to make them void of any emotion, like happiness, sadness and especially love.

Whatever it ends up being, I ain't touching it.

I still can't pin-point what was it about Naruto that really got me so drawn to it, needless to say nothing will ever come close to this.

Now before you all attack me ... I KNOW there are way greater authors than Kishi and better stories than Naruto, I've tried following some of them, but nothing really drew me to stay as this knucklehead Naruto did, and to this day I miss his old self.

#928836 It Finally Happened, Sasuke And Hinata Are Finally Going To Be Together!

....

.........  the point is that Sasuke and Hinata are finally getting some spot light, .............

Hinata already got a whole movie to herself, I think that's enough spotlight right there.
