It's something that popped up in one of Kishimoto's interviews last year. There was a question that raised the concern of Naruto not getting much air time (due to the Sasuke arcs back then), and Kishimoto responded that he was planning to do a Kakashi arc, then a Sakura arc, then finally a Naruto arc.

However, I don't know if the plans were changed since Naruto's getting some good exposure these days. It could still be:

Naruto vs. Pain
Kakashi
Sakura
Naruto

It really depends on what Kishimoto has in mind for the end of Naruto vs. Pain. There are several unknown factors, such as Danzou's bid for power, Sasuke and Madara's return to Konoha, the Cloud ninja, and Naruto's condition at the end of his fight. Even if Naruto defeats Pain's bodies, he could end up completely exhausted and powerless to prevent anything else from happening. If Danzou's bid is successful, he could imprison Naruto, or Naruto could get kidnapped by Sasuke/Madara.

We'll see!

Or even a potential assassination on Tsunade by Danzou... also another possible scenario.

This would be interesting to see after the Naruto vs. Pain arc.

I think the next arco (or whatever arc it is when this battle will finally be over,) will be Sakura's Arc. Well that's my belief when I read this week Manga, Sakura was put at the forefront and had to take charge, and made me think how Sakura is finally growing up.

I think Sakura's Arc will be about her growing up as her world collapses around her. She is the Hokage's Apprentice, and is also one of the most talented ninja medics that's still healthy and relatively uninjured. She's going to find herself thrust into the limelight and find other looking at her for leadership in the short run, whilst she worries about the three people closest to her, (Kakashi, Naruto and Tsunade. I doubt either of those will be out of hospital anytime soon, even Naruto). After this all over I don't see anyone else taking temporary leadership, as I think Tsunade will need time to recover from chakra exhaustion. Kakashi we all know and Shizune is dead so responsibilty would fall on Sakura, at least in the short run.

It would definitely be the best time to concentrate on Sakura after this arc. her family are all going to be critical, her fellow apprentice is dead, Hinata went to save Naruto when she didn't and she might feel guilty for not going to help him, even if that thought is unfounded as she would be useless in the battle with Pein.

what do you guys think, Next Arc Sakura centric?

I agree. The next arc should be Sakura centric. And I'm sure she might really feel guilty about not helping Naruto. Even though it doesn't show I think she does.

Not helping him? In my opinion, the best help she could be would be doing just what she was doing; healing hurt shinobi. Sakura may have the strength of a thousand raging women, but she's not a fighter. Her hands are meant to heal, which is the reason why she took to wearing the protective gloves so her hands wouldn't get hurt. If Sakura had jumped in to help, the result would be her funeral as it was with Hinata, becacuse Naruto is the only one able to stand up against Pain.

No, I believe Sakura was right to stand by the sidelines as an observer, and keeping Naruto's precious people alive. I think the Sakura arc will tie up alot of loose ends, so I'm really looking forward to it. I have alot of faith in the NaruSaku ship's ability to reach port, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I hope the next Arc will be Sakura (and some others) trying to save Naruto from Akatsuki. I think we will see a lot of NaruSaku then.

Ahh but see even if Sakura might know that, she would still feel guilty, it's like her guilt when Naruto got hurt trying to save Sasuke (though her guilt was founded there to some level), Or more accurately Naruto's guilt for not stopping Sasuke, even though he gave it 110% and almost died in the process he still feels the guilt. That's the thing about guilt, it can be totally unfounded, and seeing your comrade get hurt and almost dying to save your teammate knowing the risks of going to help him, and not doing the same, The logical side of her will know that she couldn't go as she was needed elsewhere and she'd be of no help, but the heart could tell her that she didn't go because she was weak and scared. She'd know that if the roles were reversed Naruto would be by her side in an instance.

Nobody is saying what Sakura did was wrong, infact many argue that what Hinata did was selfish and she made matters worst by going into a fight knowing she had 0% chance of winning and should have stayed out of it like Sakura, But the heart doesn't see things the same way the brain does.

I see her feeling guilty after this, definitely feel weak not being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with Naruto like she promised herself she would do. We could see her going to Kurenei for help in Genjutsu as it's something that's been touched upon before yet something she hasn't looked into adding to her arsenal as of yet. Sakura is going to need to be the strong one after this fight is over and done with with Specially if Hinata doesn't survive this.

Just replying to the one point about Sakura feeling guilty for not going to help Naruto when Hinata did instead.

Part of the reason for this is Sakura has faith in Naruto and his abilities. She's more in sync with him as his teammate and as one of his precious people. She can rely on him when things are tough and has seen him pull through countless times. This makes it easier for everyone to do their job effectively as ninjas. Hinata's actions were selfish and foolish. Sure she may have acted on her strong feelings for Naruto, but at the same time, it showed a lack of faith in his abilities and way of the ninja.

Remember Papa frog and Mama frog? Even though Papa frog was killed by Pein, Mama frog knew better than to interfere with the fight. That doesn't mean that she didn't care for Papa frog at all, I think her tears proved that. But in their line of business as ninjas and when the safety of the village is a stake, one cannot be selfish and they have to rely on the strength of their teammates.

Just my rant.
End of line.

Speaking of Sakura arc I think she is the only one besides Naruto where we don't know much about her clan.
