Episode 457 Partner
itachi kisame and Sasori confront deidara and convince him with a little help from itachis sharingan to join akatsuki. Pein partners him with Sasori and sends them to kill orochimaru.
He then sends Kisame and Itachi to the hidden grass and tells kakuzu to wait a little longer for his partner.
Sasori and Deidara approach orochimarus desert hideout where Sasori sends deidara skyward to make sure orochimaru doesn't escape and pulls out the third kazekage puppet. But orochimaru one ups him with an edo tensei version of the third Kazekage. Sasori quickly finds himself on the defensive as the puppets tricks prove ineffective against the undying corpse.
Even Deidara dropping a crapton of bombs has no effect. Orochiamrus laughs and says once theyre dead hell resurrect them in the same way and use them to get Itachis body for himself.
But the third kazegae turns to orochimaru and breaks his control saying hes no ones pawn. and his body collapses to dust. Sasori attacks with the iron sand but orochimaru slithers away into the hideout which Deidara promptly blows up. no sing is seen of orochimaru though.
the aktsuki gathers and Sasori and deidara report that they don't have orochimaru and he must have escaped. itahci explaisn the edo tensei and they agree to be wary of orochimaru in the future
pein then discusses a mission to kill a mad man in the land of steam, another immortal it appears.
the immortal of course is Hidan who kills a lone traver for jashin
Pein dispatches Konan Itachi and Kakuzu to find the immortal. kakuzu asks if konan is along to keep him from killing itachi but she says no shes one of the only sensory type avialble and none of the others make good bait.
Konan is confronted by Hidan who asks her if she wants to join the way of jashin but she refuses and he says hell offer her to Jashin instead only for itahci and kakuzu to appear.
Kakuzu engages him and put shim down fast by punching a hole clean through his chest but hidan just gets back up again and draws his circle. he then licks some of kakuzus blood and stabs himself in the heart riving kakuzu to his knees suddenly one of kakuzus hearts leaps out and dies while kakuzu stands up pissed off.
Konan asks itahci if he can see what hidans doing and he explains his jutsu.Konan then decides to recruit hidan and itahci uses genjutus to separate hidan from his circle telling kakuzu the decision.
Hidan refuses to join saying he has a mission to spread lord Jashins message. Konan says he should join them for that purpose since the akastuki is outside any government and willing to do anything to achieve its goals.
Hidan joins and is partenerd with Kakuzu. Pein then sends them out on their new missions.
the teams complete their missions as they go
Pein contacts them informing them of a new village known as sound and that orochimaru is part of it, he also tells them how the sound and sand attacked the leaf with orochimarus help.
Itachi volunteers to check on the leaf and its jinchuriki. He and kisame observe the village and see how it survived Kisame comments on itachi still having feelings for his old home but Itahci says he doesn't
mentally he thinks though Sasuke are you safe?
