Well, this is actually my first time posting in this thread since I joined the forum (I joined after the season ended) and yeah, being from Southern California, I'm rooting for the Kings to at least make it to round two in the playoffs (They got shot down twice in a row in game six at home, where I always give them a good chance to make it to the next round and they somehow couldn't get it done, but I like their chances this year) , as long as they are always on their game, and that Quick always puts on a good clinic in the games he plays.

Now, why did I link that? Because after the frustration that happened two years ago, the Kings finally beated the Canucks in Vancouver nonetheless. This is probably the greatest feeling I have ever experienced, with a tear in my eye.

Man, the Kings has made it to the Stanley Cup finals for the first time in 19 years, when the team was lead by Gretzky that year. We got our work cut out though. I've been catching the Rangers/Devils series, and its been pretty tight stuff. I would not be surprised if they take it all the way to game seven.

The Kings? They're no underdog. They're only the #8 seed because they were 2 points out of winning their division (and getting the 3 seed instead). They are a much better team than Jersey, and their goalie has been playing out of this world for the last 2 months or so. Congrats to the Kings if they win, though!

Also, who knew the Taiwanese had such an awesome take on the Stanley Cup finals?

Now, in every game that the Kings has played, I always give them the best chance to win any game if they are playing their best. And I said, before game six started, that they needed to play perfect hockey here to get that chance and they got it here. I've been waiting seven years for this moment while some people have waited 45 years for this moment, all the excitement is still the same. Now I'm not good at this whole celebrating thing so, I'll just leave at this.

Man, that was such a crazy period of time, where four pacific teams, has to fill up three slots and while it would have been nice to get top division seed (the Kings had it for like three days, and then had average weeks in the end which put us back to 8th), making the playoffs was just all that matters. And yeah, the top teams in the west that expected to make next round (Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit, San Jose), got all booted out in the 1st round, leaving the wild cards that was doing great in the regular season.

Well this thread is a year old, but I feel that it needs resurrecting because this Bruins vs Blackhawks series is unbelievable! Another overtime game tonight! There is amazing hockey being played in these Stanley Cup Finals.
