i agree it could be darker but zuko's gotten soft lately and i really don't like it too much and now with the whole thing with his sister azula i personally like her more then him.

I think he might play a role by the third book, remember Aang needs to master firebending so Zuko could possibly train himsince he already has Katara for water & Toph for earth.

I think when it comes to animation Avatar is far better than most Japanese animation. *hides in side fort of iron* It also a good show considering all the censoring that American animators have to work around.

I love the show but I have heard that the person who voiced Zuko's uncle died, that may be why there hasnt been to many new episodes out.

They actually planned not to have to many episodes over the summer. Mako's death has nothing to do with it. The entire second season has already been recorded. The question is what will they do for the third? I perdict Iroh getting into some kind of accident which permanently alters his voice so there is an excuse. If not there are other voice actors who could portray the roll.

Avatar wasnt the first American anime. That racing one on cartoonnetwork was. That was a pretty damn good looking series too.
I guess teen titans could count as one too.
Also if you think about it anime is just a small term for "animation".
So in other words America invented anime its just the Japanese designed their own version of animation which is refered as anime.
You ever wonder why anime characters have big eyes? Just look back at disney and looney toons and thats where it orginated from. Those were the first "animes" created if you wanna get technical.
The difference lies in most Americans seeing animated series as some form of comedy show or some children's saturday morning cartoon show. In other words people either see looney toons, some disney movie or the simpsons. In Japan anime is seen as anything live action movies or series can be and a lot of them hold a more serious and darker role. Then theres those weird Japanese humor animes. What they find funny isnt necessary something the average American will find funny... or they will plain and simply find down right distubring.

I like Avatar my favorite character is Zuko's uncle. It's pretty interesting through I haven't watched in awhile.

I love it. Its a good show. I saw a preview for the hour long season 2 finale. It doesn't look like anything romantic for Zutaro. I actually think Iroh might teach Aang fire-bending.

Well, as you can see from my avatar you can now add me to the list. Ashleyriot and NaruSaku fan sparked by interest so I decided to check it out. It's probably to early to say I belong to any specific shipping, but right now, I'm a bit partial to Toph and Aang.
