Well it is a rumor but I believe the main point he/she getting at is that Sakura let her hair grew because of Sasuke, but since she kept it short, she doesn't care that much to impress Sasuke. It's like more and more she drops perks that isn't hers only because she wanted to impress Sasuke. No gags, pretty before combat look, pretty much all of her personality, and so on.

Plus if the rumor is true, well Karin is in luck.

maybe Sasuke's preferences has changed and he actually likes short haired girls. that's why Sakura kept it short for Sasuke-koon.

What are you talking about? Of course Sakura wants to impress Sasuke ! She attempted killing him in the Kage arc. That's the No.1 way to impress an Uchiha  And it totally worked too! Sasuke was so impressed that he decided to attempt killing her in return.  I don't think I'll ever come across a more romantic story than this one

That would explain why Naruto decided to cut his hair. Naruto is desperately trying anything that would bring Sasuke back to him.

I still highly believe that this is a transition movie between Pt 2 of the manga (as in the current one) to a Part 3, thus as Lupina said, they don't want to spoil the end of the 2nd part...

What do you think? If the manga is going to end first do you think they will wait the anime to end too and still they won't give so much information about the movie ? Or  the anime and manga are set up to finish at the same day or week?. I am thinking too that those changes of day we read the manga changed are set up to we see them end at the same time.

We're most likely going to get more sketches today. Yess!!

 

The first batch of sketches were unveiled on August 6th iirc. It took three weeks before the second and most recent set became available. We may not see any more sketches until next week if that pattern holds.

It would piss me off if they resolve the pairing subplot only in this movie, or some other one, because we aren't able to see these movies until weeks/months after they come out in Japan.

I know I joked about it early on, but after this weeks manga, I am definitely leaning towards Sasuke being the Antagonist in the movie, think about it, who else would make the fans go to the cinema to watch after current battle is over?

I wouldn't mind. I do like Sasuke when he's in heel mode. I always do enjoy seeing him in that way. But we'll see.

This movie made me even more curious after reading today's chapter. Let's make a wild guess and factless theory :) (Dear Mods, please let me know if this post is inappropriate to be placed in this threads, I'll delete it accordingly).

 

What if, when Naruto and Sasuke meet their destined moment, none of them could win and they eventually made a pact / agreement to end the cycle of hate?

 

Sasuke would offer to end the cycle of hate by being the 'hokage' / ruler of all Shinobi, at the cost of Naruto being banished or secluded himself from Shinobi world. Naruto considered the offer and together they freed up all the Shinobi trapped in Infinite Tsukiyomi (join effort to perform the seal), and then Sasuke tell everyone a different set of story...

 

He would tell everyone he's the savior of the world, while casting Naruto away (either declare him as dead or cast some jutsu). The only witnesses alive are Kakashi and Sakura, and probably Sasuke could just cast a jutsu at them to modify their memory. Literally writing a history to his own benefit at the same time breaking the cycle of hate...

 

... and then this story is about Naruto's journey afterwards. And how his friends, especially Sakura, felt that something is missing and goes to search for him.

 

'The Last' can be associated with different vibes and theories... it could be the last jinchuuriki, the last 'survivor' of the war, the last / true hero, the last journey to become a hokage or the last fight to regain his deserved hokage title. If 'Road to Ninja' starts with a question about 'What is Shinobi?' and ends with a poetic answer 'Shinobi is those who endures'; then 'The Last' could be pretty interesting to follow...
