Summary Time. This chapter title is Kawaki, So they should be introducing his personality in this chapter...or at least his name.

The title page just has him in color, his symbol look like the top of the uchiha fan, so those stupid theories that he is SNS's son are possible, with "A Lone Boy" written twice in two tones. Well the anime did change its time slot so for once their is a reason for them to bring up the anime and at least they don't over hype it. Then again the happened at the start of the month.

So the chapter starts off with two of the Kara bosses without their masks sitting down and eating dinner, with wine. Apparently this is them mobilizing. The female named Delta asked her Boss Jigen if the egg he is eating it tasty. They have some idle chat while she question him about barbarian hair, they talk about the vessel who is clearly Nail, he deflect her questions, so she destroys the dinning table, and then we see the bosses' power when he makes a copy of the table she just destroyed wine and all. The female wants to join the mission to retrieve Nail, the Boss says it Barbarian hairs job, but if she fails she can kill him and take over the mission herself. Then we get a close up of his chin which has the same tattoo that Nail has one his left hand.

I'll say again when the artist is drawing the characters he created their fine, but they are always off when he tries to draw characters Kishimoto created. The women is pretty with a bob with curls, while the Boss look like a monk with his shaved sides of the head and a long ponytail.

Back to the main cast they investigate the unconscious Nail when Bolt and Nail are close their tattoos throb. Oh we get a flashback to how Kara got a hold of him. His drunk father, who thinks he is worthless except as his punching bag, sold him to the boss of Kara who...ugh. Tells Nail that he is his father. Then reaches out to him. This triggers Nail into using some sort of attack to make sure people can't touch him. He then ask if they are from Kara. The two Kara members are watching this, and the women brought along one of their agents. Who I am guessing she brought along to attack the group so it will force Nail to join them and go to Konoha. Konohamaru tries talking with him, he rebuffs, and then Bolt shows him his tattoo which in case people forgotten it is actually called Karma (don't like using that name so I'll stick with tattoo.) This convinces Nail that he is from Kara but before anything can happen you guessed it the agent attacks. The agent has a big mouth and reveals a lot of information to the group. If he is proof of what those "outers," are suppose to look like then they are all ninja cyborgs it seems. Not sure their worth as spies then.

Nail can turn his limbs into weapons like Jugo did. He is apparently weaker then he normally is according to the agent.

Well, if the battle had happened in this chapter it would feel like an actual monthly manga. Instead, yet again, this feels like a Naruto chapter that was just expanded to fit more pages.

I'm trying to remember because these chapter take so long to come out, and so little happens in between them. This is probably the second best chapter so far. Since it almost felt like their was enough going on to be a monthly chapter. Sadly it didn't. Also since the anime will soon catch up at this rate from now on the anime will always have to worry about over taking the manga if they start an arc before the finish it in the manga.

Well...... my point

"How little happens in between," does not have the same meaning as, "How little happens in each chapter." In fact the problem is in between each chapter for this franchise is that the anime is catching up, and once it does no matter what they do, unless they just cancel the anime for a few years, the anime will have to do so many non-stop filler arcs that even what happened to Naruto and Bleach will seem minor. So it more "how much happens in between each chapter."

Granted this manga is still a waste of time, as well as paper, they would be better of just canceling it, and just keeping the anime.

Why the hell is everyone so powerful in this series? What happened to the whole genius of hardwork thing? Every character in this series is so god damn OP that it makes none of the characters relatable.

Boruto couldve been a way better series if they just focused on boruto n the rest of em struggling to learn the techniques their parents use. But nope, everyones just born with all the talent in the world. This is probably why nobody really likes boruto. The characters arent just relatable.

Kawaki turned out to be the way just as i thought he would, overpowered and emo af!

Coolness factor. they are attempting that to draw in fans. You know those movies where you just watch it it just for the flash explosions and bullets not hitting anything for the sake of drama? same concept

well I meant how "little happens in each chapter", so yeah. And it's not like the events themselves are interesting are they? I mean you can sum up the story arcs in 1 one hand and each one is a a snooze fest "ATTEMPTING to be cool". It  both little happening in between events and little happening in each chapter if you ask me

Kishimoto in order to make Bolt different from his father made him more gifted, but lazy. The anime because he is the son of Hinata took the "more gifted then his father" and ran with it to the point the anime may make him strong enough to defeat Kaguya when he is only twelve years old. Most of the values of Naruto were thrown out in order to have him end up with Hinata. And they figured that the daddy issues would make him more relatable.

The monthly manga makes having training arcs a bit more difficult; not helped by the fact that this story moves so slow it completely wastes chapters. I think the nH marriage temporarily reinvigorated interest into this franchise in the US but outside the anime, and the games it fading again. As for his character what is their to like about him?

I didn't think that his backstory would be that generic and clique but seeing Bolt's daddy issues is the core of Boruto. I really should have expected it.

Is their really anything cool in Boruto that they can't find elsewhere?

Trust me, the manga is not interesting.

and I agree  that is why I am saying "that there is little happening in between chapters and in the timeline of events". Now it COULD be argued that there is quite a bit happening in the story it self but it is not engaging or interesting at all, as you say, is it?

You know , maybe this is just me but i never saw Boruto doing some self training , the only time i saw him training is when there is a teacher helping him , like Konohamaru or Sasuke. This make him even more bad in my eyes because it looks like he just want to be guided by others ... he doesn't want to find / craft his own path or future he just like a spoiled little prince that waiting in his bed for his maid to bring him food in silver plates. If there's no teacher teaching him he won't do any self training , all i see him do is hanging around with his friends like a punk delinquent skipping class , and playing psp or that stupid card.

Salad out rights say that Bolt did not really train in the movie before he met Sasuke. Konohamaru was moved to tears when he asked him to teach him the rasengan. He thought Bolt was finally taking being a ninja seriously, and he could start training like Naruto taught him. He only wanted to train with Sasuke, and its implied after the chunin exam he finally did start taking his job, and his training seriously. Naruto was convince he was cheating in the movie when he used that shadow clones implying he never taught him that, and he asked hinata if she taught him any gentle fist for confirmation that he was cheating; she didn't.

In the anime by the time he was seven Naruto was already saying he was easily able to handle any training he gave him, and it seemed to imply by that point Naruto felt he had nothing left to teach him. He could use elemental attacks, gentle fist, Shadow clone, and was the top in his class. The only reason he didn't have the rasengan before the chunin exam is because of the movie. As for the Byakugan because they need an excuse to why he doesn't have it; while also showing how special the "pure eye" that the anime gave him is. Also how special his sister is for developing it naturally/instinctively.

It makes reading the manga feel very disjointed since you have the main cast that he can't draw, then the side characters that he can. Also the designs are so radically different they feel like they belong in a different story.
