This isn't absolutely new, it's not quite a month old, but it's sort of an ongoing mystery, so enjoy. Supposedly it's the work of a Dutch film student but it's quite a work, considering there's a link to a mysterious website, hints/clues hidden in the webcode, other websites referenced, unlockable pictures, unlockable mp3 files that say cryptic things when played in reverse; all fun stuff

Anyway, the gist is apparently about some technological cataclism that happens on August 6, 2018 and the creator uses references to the conspiracies in the games Half-Life 1 and 2 and also the tv show Lost in his "giant conspiracy mystery". Plus lots of quantum mechanics and theoretical physics. Incidentally, he also uses sound effects/music from the games and music from Lost in his "test video".


Aaaaanyway, if anyone's interested, there's a couple forums with people going ape over this, and there's an unbelievable amount of content to this entire... puzzle... thingy. I'll just link one.
