Since we have several favorite anime/manga threads I thought I'd make one about animated series that were made in the US of A, and compilation shows don't count so you won't be seeing Looney Tunes, Peanuts or Tom and Jerry on my list. Also I try to keep away from naming 2 shows by the same people, with one exception because I couldn't chose between the two (#5).

Top 10 Favorite American Animated TV Shows:

1.) Batman The Animated Series/Adventures Of Batman and Robin (FOX 1992-1995)
2.) Animaniacs (FOX 1992-1995 and WB Network 1995-1999)
3.) Darkwing Duck (Disney Channel 1990-1993)
4.) Justice League/Justice League Unlimited (Cartoon Network 2001-2006)
5.) (Tie) Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory (Cartoon Network 1996-2003 (DL) and 1998-2005 (PPG))
6.) The Real Ghostbusters (ABC 1986-1992)
7.) The Simpsons (FOX 1988-Present, Would be higher if it wasn't for the last few Seasons)
8.) X-Men (FOX 1992-1995)
9.) Freakazoid! (WB Network 1995-1997)
10.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (FOX 1987-1992)

Well there's mine, what are yours?

Let's see, I have a lot of all time favorites:

1) Disney's Aladdin
2) The Flintstones
3) Tiny Toons Adventures
4) Gargoyles
5) The New Adventures of Jonny Quest
6) Justice League/JL: Unlimited
7) Teen Titans
8) Totally Spies!
9) Code Lyoko
10) Powerpuff Girls
11) SWATKats
12) Mighty Ducks
13) Dexter's Labortory
14) Atomic Betty
15) Darkwing Duck
16) Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa
17) Animanics

and old-school Cartoon Network that was all Hanna-Barbera and WB cartoons like Hong Kong Phooey, Penelope Pitstop, & Wacky Races. Oh how I will love to go back in time and watch the ORIGNAL Cartoon Newtork, even when they started the What a Cartoon! with Dexter and PPG began their stardom and when Toonami began their run. ;_; the memories...

I think I gotta seperate Disney and Other (though the numbers will be as if they weren't seperated). Disney just had so many of them that deserve mentioning.

Non-Disney:
2. Exo Squad
3. Batman: The Animated Series
4. The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest
5. Justice League
8. The Tick
9. The Real Ghostbusters
10. Justice League Unlimited
11. The Superman Adventures
12. Prince Valiant
13. Teen Titans
16. Inspector Gadget
17. Animaniacs
18. Dilbert
21. Tiny Toons

Disney:
1. Gargoyles
6. Tarzan
7. Aladdin
14. Gummi Bears
15. Talespin
19. Rescue Rangers
20. Ducktails
22. Darkwing Duck

I tried really hard not to rate for Nostalgia Factor; otherwise, Superfriends, Challenge of the GoBots, GI Joe, Smurfs, the original Jonny Quest and 80s era Jonny Quest, Flintstones, Jetsons, and so forth would probably have been in there somewhere. Also, I wasn't sure Transformers counted, since it was more a US animation\anime hybrid. AND I wasn't sure Mysterious Cities of Gold counted, since it WASN'T an anime, but it also wasn't USAnimated (it was French in origin, though it had something of an anime feel to it). And, well, I can't help but think there's been a few I forgot, somewhere along the line....

1) Batman: the animated series
2) Gargoyles
3) Beast Wars, really the only reason why this isn't #2 is because I just got Season 1 of Gargoyles, so its fresher in my mind.
4) Mighty Maxx
5) Darkwing Duck
6) Adventures of Superman
7) Incredible Hulk ('94-'96)
8) Fantastic Four ('94-'96)
9) Iron Man ('94-'96)
10) King Arthur and the Knights of Justice (1992-1993) This show was kind of like the US's version of Ronin Warriors.

Hrmm I won't start naming all these animated series now but I will mantion one series that in my opinion, clearly desrves the title "Best animated series"

Batman TAS

Although Spiderman TAS was my fav back when I was a kid. The DC animated universe is a thing I can watch as an adult and truly appreciate, what Bruce Tim has done there. an extraordinary mix of light and dark metrials which made this series unforgetable.

Another honroble mantion: Freakazoid, why?

25) Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers
26) Talespin
27) Tarzan
28) X-Men: Evolution (oh god, why did they cancelled that show?!)

oh and my personal kiddie favorite (that should be higher in the list because I forgot to add it) :

29) The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
