I'm starting to read more comic books from Marvel and I'm loving Gambit and Rogue. So happy they got married!

So, you guys are probably wondering, "Derock, why the hell are you posting a Disney topic in the Otaku Square?!" Hold on, just a second! This is about a spin-off that release an one-shot manga book and it is an alternative story and universe of Beauty and the Beast. Just to give you guys a heads up, this is not related to Kingdom Hearts!

And you guys are probably asking me, "What is Disney Mirrorverse?"

Disney Mirrorverse is an Action RPG mobile game (yeah, I know but hear me out!) came out in 2022 developed by Kabam Games, which starred various Disney and Pixar characters into an alternate/distorted universe where various heroes and villains having access to stellar magic that boosted up and amplify their abilities or for some heroes that I will provide examples, evolved and giving them new abilities. The premise is that the Mirrorverse was created by two stars or mirrors, one's light: the Stellar Mirror, and one's dark: the Dark Mirror. These mirrors created the universe that is "familiar, yet different". With that magic, it created distorted version of the Disney and Pixar universes. Mickey Mouse was reached out by the Stellar Mirror and became the first Guardian. He then recruited others characters in different worlds to become Guardians so they can access the stellar magic. The Dark Mirror was discovered by Jafar who had shattered it and overused its power. He lost it and it was later discovered by Maleficent, who used the mirror to created the Fractured, mirrored versions of characters whom has no free will and only crave for destruction. She sent them to destroy the Stellar Mirror which forces Mickey to summon the other Guardians to defend it. 

In the game and its updates, it is not just the normal Disney heroes, heroines and villains that were known to fight. As I said, we have some characters that were upgraded, like certain Disney Princesses: Snow White (who now can fight with a battle axe and she has her own novel on how she became a Guardian), Tiana (who is a healer and chemist, also appeared in Snow White's novel) and Belle, in which I would talk about in a moment. Then we have unexpected characters: Disney live-action movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann) and Jungle Cruise (Frank Wolff), characters that we didn't even know they can fight such as Dory from Finding Nemo, in which she's in a robotic, mobilized fish tank, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, Baloo (not the Jungle Book version BUT the TaleSpin version) and we have Kermit, YES Kermit the Frog from The Muppets!

This manga is the prequel of how Belle became a Guardian. This version of Belle is not just an Action Girl but an Action Mage!

So, let me give you guys a summary:

So, yeah that's the whole manga. No more, no less. I liked this alternate Belle is more snippy and sarcastic to Gaston. However, she is like her original self but more inciteful and resourceful. She had a dream come true of being part of an adventure that she always read about. We also see Adam/Beast more remorseful when trying to save his castle staff from the curse. And he's a bit more Tsundere at the end. So, despite some scenes skipped some stuff, it is a good read.

The Hinata heartbroken bit, that can be solved easily: have Naruto being honest with her in a private conversation, he is not interested in her romantically. It can benefit her to move on and find someone to be with her. She was never important in the first place. It was her fans (and some inside help) that were pushing her which resulted on how the franchise ended up now.

I found out that Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st.

Yes, we're currently having issues with the password reset system. 

Just don't watch it, and it'll quickly die off like Cowboy Bebop and the Titans.  One of the "virtues" of Netflix these days is that they are rather trigger-happy with cancellation if the audience reception is poor after the initial season. Especially for LA adaptations for anime and comics.

Well, it didn't stop me with the One Piece live-action series. Shockingly, I didn't care for the franchise back in the day, even during the 4Kids era, but watching it now, it is really good.

Live-action is currently on the works... oh boy.

Can't say one piece isn't huge anymore, that's for sure. Which was always one of the arguments you heard from naruto fans

That argument was only for the US because of how One Piece was handled through 4Kids before moving to Funimation. I can say its popularity skyrocketed thanks to online streaming and recently, the live-action series on Netflix.

I didn't realize Arise is getting an DLC continuation! Can't wait for it!

The hell is Saruto? WTF?

Recently (well, a couple of years ago), I started to watch The Witcher. I stopped for a moment as I recommended it to my mother, so we both got into it.

Geralt x Yennefer was so freaking obvious! Lots of banter, great chemistry, even during Yen's "betrayal" so she can get her magic back, they were meant for each other. I especially like them being foster parents to Cirilla. 

A shame that Henry Cavill left the series though. I'm not sure if Liam Hemsworth can keep up as Geralt for Season 4.

Oh! Just an announcement thought right, no news yet?

No news right now. But there were leaks from the Chinese news but they got pulled. It is how I got the "surprise".

New Movie announced:

The only reason why many people believed Sasuke was Masashi's alter ego because of the damn screen time he hogged up for majority of the story. Remember I stated back then that because of Sasuke's screen time about the Uchihas, there wasn't a balance and it made Naruto a bit more inferior, which led to the jokes and memes that the franchise should be named "Sasuke". It was that reason I stated someone on his writing team or editor (if they weren't on Hinata lust mode) should had suggested to make a Sasuke spin-off so Naruto, Sakura (especially her) and Kakashi would've gain more screen time on the main franchise while Sasuke get his in his spin-off until Masashi decides to bring him back for the major fights. That would've guarantee money and income. 

I'm still confused as to how NaruHina parrellels MinaKushi. Hinata is NOTHING like Minato at all. 

I don't know why they used Hinata into the equation. Obviously we knew Kushina = Sakura with a bit of Naruto in her, but now we're seeing Minato in his younger years more like his son in terms of weirdness (his long naming for example) and we knew Naruto has that quality. Hinata doesn't even fit into anything at all!

Is Ikemoto trying to make Sarada a fashion model? 

Wow, color me surprise. Minato's story was on point. Masashi, you had one job. Where was this writing during the end of Naruto?!

You see, THAT was a true Naruto story! Everything flowed well, no nonsense whatsoever. Everything and everyone was correct in terms of character. 

However, I see how Naruto got some of his "lameness" from Minato, with the weird long name for the Rasengan! Like father, like son. 

Although:

A bit of a shocker of cameos, so watching Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, I noticed a certain trio appeared on one screen:

If he wants to continue the franchise, he can always rely on his team that does the spin-offs, i.e. Team-Up Missions. Horikoshi-sensei can do the writing/supervisor role.

Disney is crashing: The Live action Little Mermaid is flopping hard, Super Hero movies are almost dead, Elemental is expected to flop, and Lucasfilm has burnt down all their IPs as Dial is Destiny is pretty much expected to flop.

 

Tarot cards are often an obsession 'progressive' women have to replace spirituality of religions like Christianity with new age mysticism such as tarot reading or horoscopes/astrology. So when a company starts making tarot cards out of nowhere its often a sign of it 'going woke.' Since woke women that work in marketing often recommend it; since it is what they like.

 

So that maybe what is happening here.

For LA Little Mermaid, it's only at Chinese and Korean box office markets because they're still in the mindset of "characters that were white initially should stay white" mentality. There's an article online about it. The movie did well in here in the domestic box office.

Recently, I have some thoughts about this franchise because I'm gonna give you guys a heads-up: You guys may NOT going to like it, however I'm going to hold my thoughts, reactions and analyses until Horikoshi-sensei officially finish and release his last chapter and making sure it is legit.
