The popularity was waning since the beginning of the war arc. Its not only the ending, Naruto's been suffering with this for quite a while
If it is not after the pain arc, the general consensus should be the war arc. It was horrible, and I will always deem it as the worst arc of the entire series. So many flashbacks and villains.
I hope Bleach is not doing the same thing as Naruto with its war arc going on right now.

If you ask me, Bleach is getting more accomplished with less time, despite the mass number of characters. From the way things look, the final showdown with the current main villain will be soon.

I initially thought that the Bleach war arc would mirror the Naruto war arc, but it's not. Naruto was drawn out and had too many main opponents. I suppose my favorite moments of this arc were Ch.631, Ch.663, and Ch.692 (where Sasuke shows his true goals).
Do you think Bleach will end next year?
Also, what do you think will happen? Ichihime or Ichiruki? I think both are developed enough to become cannon. Kudos to Kudo (pun inteneded, lol).
The only ship I hope to happen is HitsuHina ^_^

I don't think so. Even though the main villain Ywach has reached the Soul Palace, there's still plenty going on behind the scenes, that you have to keep in mind.
IMO, Ichiruki is the most likely, should a pair be established. Ichihime is developed, but ichiruki just has more in comparison.

Nope, it doesn't. I like to see it as Naruto just in a few other years after marrying Hinata just having that kind of jaded personality thanks to his role as Hokage, as well as the fact he maybe has regrets going on. It's the one thing that just came to mind Phantom, and considering how much of a piss-poor dad Naruto comes off as toward Bolt as Hokage... yeah, it doesn't make him look better and just destroys his character. :( It just was a theory.

Rewatched episode 175 of shippuden... I still get chills from it. In essence, this is where the series should have ended cause Naruto finally reaches his arc and gets the girl. Damn you Sasuke and Hinata !

Naruto is finally acknowledged by the whole village after the pain battle (the thing that he sought the most). The musical score is just perfect and Sakura punching and hugging him is icing on the cake.

Oh, yeah. What a beautiful scene...
But unfortunately, that was impossible b/c of so many unresolved plots Kishi has already established.

It was also all a lie too. Naruto didn't want to be Hokage or be acknowledge byt he village. He wanted Hinata's sweet ass. This was all a mislead. You can see on his face he is saying "Ewww Sakura, stop hugging me. I want Hinata-chan."

Yeah, cause he clearly did a better job at ending the series conclusively at chapter 700....
If people had known this was gonna be Naruto's ending, I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't mind the series ending after the Pain arc. Sure there was the thing about Sasuke, but really, after that arc Sasuke's, along with many other, characters suffered. Not to mention the war arc was lackluster.

I was expecting a "end of war victory speech" when the IT was released since that's what the war started with, but nope... LOL he really didn't give a kitten about ending.
He litlerally wrapped up a 200 chapters war with a one chapter epilogue lol. I was like wtf was the point of all this. One piece had a whole volume to show the effects of the war on the whole world and so on.
