[Fairy Tail Fantard]

To be honest I love 'em both, even though I'm allergic to cats.

 

With cats, they don't require nearly as much attention, they can take care of themselves fairly well, and will just kind of do their own thing.

 

Dogs on the other hand require LOADS of attention. But if you're looking for loyalty and a true friend...you just can't beat a dog. They'll be your best friends until their days are done.

I know more about dogs than I do cats, but when getting a new pet I got a cat because I don't have the time for another dog at this point in my life. (I do love dogs, want another German Shepherd one day, and a dream of mine is to own a smooth Collie.) Cats are fun, yet they also entertain themselves. I don't need to set time aside to teach a cat manners or tricks, I can play with him but won't have to feel guilty if I don't have time every single day, I have a warm fluffy animal that likes to lay in my lap for hours when I'm on the computer.

 

I already had a dog, so I have a dog and a cat.

cats are special too, and i prefer them over dogs.

I'm a cat person, without a doubt. I like dogs, but I get along with cats a lot more. They don't stink like dogs for one.

I hate that. I remember watching a Rottweiler tear apart one of my grandmother's cats when I was little. One of the most awful things I've seen. Little dogs are cute, but I don't like the real yappy ones (most of them are though).

Dogs can be a bit too much for me sometimes. But in my situation it's perfect, because my aunt has a dog. I see and love that dog a lot, but I couldn't live with one 24/7. And I have a cat, whom I don't want to live without.

I like dogs and cats as long as they are someone else's. Nothing against pets, I'm just not at a point where I wanted to take care of one. If I ever reach that point, I'd be fine with either.

In terms of companionship I say Dogs.

 

In terms of floating in a hover chair, and laughing all evil like. Cats.

For dogs, it can depend. Some are more outgoing, some bond with their owners more than others, they'll have different levels of energy. I have taken in a Daucshund before, bad match for me. It wasn't a dog I was planning on keeping anyway, she was lost, but I had to put her in the shelter rather than keep her in my home while searching for her owner. I just couldn't do it, too much energy, wanted me to do something with her constantly.

Now German Shepherds I have experience with, plus have owned and trained one, and they seem to be a great match for me. I'd adopt another in a heartbeat if I was in the position to get another dog.

Well, I've never had a cat so I'd have to go with dogs. I just LOVE my precious dog so much. She's the best dog ever. She's a puggle, and she's just so chill and sweet, and she loves to cuddle and is extremely obedient and she's so cute! <3 I miss her when I'm at college D:

Really?! I've seen a poor kitten be killed by a group of dogs when I was little. I tried to save him but he scratched me. The whole scene was terrible. >.< I still have guilt over it.

My dogs chased cats, but only because they'd run. (One time when a cat didn't run my dog was standing there play bowing and begging her to run.) In the house, my dogs got along with my cats.
I'd think that having grown up with a dog my cat would be used to them, but the times he has managed to get outside the dogs out there that belong to the renters will chase him and he runs. It's just his instinct to run when chased, I guess.

Love them both. But I'll say dogs only cause I have only ever played with a cat once in my entire life as opposed to several dogs I took care of.

We have a dog now who chases cats too. He's still young so we're trying to break him of it. He's never really tried to hurt them, he just wants to play with them, but of course it really scares the cats. It's kind of funny though cause he wants to play with my cat, who is about half his size (the dog is a medium sized spaniel and my cat is huge) and my cat freaks out even though he could probably tear that dog a good one.
