Let light be our guide towards victory
Whenever there's despair there's a darkness, whenever there's hope there's a light and it's up to us to bring in that light.

No offense but when you think about you actually see more tv than live. Think about if you want to watch 2 of your favorite sports at the same time you can on tv while live you're stuck and would miss out! In my case since I like tennis, golf, gymnastic, & swimming it's more likely I'll stay at home and watch on tv, especially if they are premiering at the same time.

I agree, the opening ceremony at the least will be spectacular. I hope for Chicago, since it's close to home! But if I recall correctly, the votes don't actually mean anything. Plus... if they did count, there are other countries with more people to vote anyway... 'Vote for Chicago' people will be outnumbered from the get-go.

No offense but seeing it on tv is nothing compared to actually being there live. You can always record the events on tv, and re-watch everything later. But to actually be there, to walk around with all the other fans, to see the athletes up close and personal, just to be a part of that general atmosphere. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity that watching it on a little square box doesn't even hold a candle to.
It would be cool for it to be held in Tokyo, but if it's in Chicago I could take my mother who is a HUGE fan of the Olympic Games
