Yeah...
As far as the Sasuke business... we might not have a happy end. Sometimes people just can't be swayed. And that's something some of us have to learn as we grow up. And I'm sure it's something Naruto was humbled by when he first couldn't bring Sasuke back. But he may have to learn it a few more times. I'm not sure as to how Sasuke would get back into the village... At this point he hasn't killed anyone really (Deidara?). Nor has he aided against Konoha in any capacity. As long as he doesn't cross those two lines... there might be hope. And if the Eight-tails shows up, he'd be cleared a little bit.

Yay, Sakura is going to fix everything now or at least try to, but I have faith in her that she is the only one that can set Naruto straight with this torturing lingering promise that they made. No promise breaking though, this promise is one of the main story plots in this manga, and it won't end here. They will save Sasuke, or he will die. No middle ground, just saved or killed.
This manga is not going to end soon, in fact I see a possible timeskip after Sasuke is either saved, defeated, killed, or escaped again. Then we are going to see the blossoming of Naruto's and Sakura's deep friendship into something more, then the five kages are going to use Naruto and try to defeat Akatsuki, but nothing is going to happen yet, then Kishi is going to time skip.
And everything is going to conclude in 15 + tankoban volumes. Neh?
