It does seem to me that it is a highly possible scenario. Though the idea that Naruto lead a super-powerful alliance might be a little bit loopsided since he has no leadership experience besides Konohamaru & Co. The idea that he is to loose the most if the alliance failed is supported by theoretical idea that it is in his best choice to lead it well.

I think that Raikage knows that Naruto is the conbtainer because I believe it is common knowledge for leaders of the Ninja villages who is the container of who.

I don't think it would happen that way. Not that I would hate the idea it just isn't really logical that's all.

but he does have the most to lose if the alliance fails, forgetting for a moment the loss of his most precious people thta will almsost cretianly occur and the destrcution visited on other villages and loss of lfie which he abhors. there is the loss of his own life.

Definitely a VERY likely scenario. Gaara knows Naruto wants to be a Hokage which is why Naruto should have first-hand experience on leadership, it might be a bit too much for Naruto & might result in a lack of confidence (probably) for him but Gaara will reassure him that he'll be with Naruto every step of the way & act as his adviser.

You know there's something interesting that I've noticed. Momochi Zabuza... you know, guy from waaayyy back in the beginning? It's possible that he's suspected something wrong with the Mizukage if his attempted coup was against either Yagura (who was possibly being manipulated) or against Uchiha Madara, who even Kisame, another former member of the 7 Swordsmen, called Mizukage. If that's true, there's been foreshadowing even waaayyy back in the beginning! Whoa.... 0_0

Naruto would make a better leader than Danzo for sure since he's not power-driven and he keeps everyone's well-being as a priority. Gaara would be there for him as an ally but I think even more than that his friends from Konoha would help by taking care of stuff Naruto doesn't do so well. Each of the genin would have a pretty specific job to do and it would all be automatic. Like when Sai first attacked Naruto when he was with Shikamaru and Choji and those two automatically protected him then came up with a counterattack.
