Hmm, not a bad group for England. smile.gif The USA match will be interesting, as the American team has grown over time. I was amazed to hear that England have never played against Algeria, hopefully it will be a debut victory for us.

As long as England stay focused, we should comfortably qualify for the knockout stages. I just hope we don't go out to penalties yet again. XD

As much as I'm gonna root for the US team even if we beat England we're gonna get our asses kicked by the rest.

We could beat England, its not exactly a long shot for once. Still going to be tough however. Id say Brasil wins it all though.

And we did get a great draw, you could only want South Africa more.

I know that no host country has ever failed to make the second round, but South Africa really has a hard group to go up against with Mexico and France. One of those two teams will be upset.

How would the Brazilian media react if Brazil did not make it out to the knockout stages? Rage, fire Dunga, etc?

I realized with my predictions, we could be looking at this for a quarterfinals.

Mexico vs. USA
Netherlands vs Brazil
Argentina vs England
Italy vs Spain

Brazil's critiques dislikes Dunga, because he just chose technical gameplay and started from scratch over the passionate already learnt techniques that gave Brazil an advantage against everyone.

But what the critiques don't foresaw is that Dunga chose new players like Pato to be already included in the fresh-start and didn't get to sit down on the bench. If Brazil didn't manage to pass though the first round, I think Brazil would just rage and Dunga would quit.

No firing, because it's rather rare for an football association to fire people just because a round didn't go well. Reputation is nothing when you're facing the best of the best, losing is not a shame but it's not really welcome.

----
Passionate* = Over-offensive gameplay, like using the three R's ( Ronaldo , Romario , Romaldo, unusable considering that both of them quit the international circle ) as the forwards and replacing defensive middle fielders with just offensive middle play. It's just complaining about Dunga making up plans with the same argument 'if it ain't broken, don't even touch it'.

^ Dunga never played in a soccer game. He doesn't have that much experience, that's why we Brazilians don't like him that much because he hasn't been that good of a coach, and apart from that, most of his moves are bad. He did a major mistake of not putting Robinho in the last gave vs USA.
The only thing that has kept us on top is the team. Our team has slightly altered since 1994, one stayed in or out, but we've always had Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Now that Ronaldo and Romario are out of the game, so our chances of winning have decreased. And even though we have Kaka, the best soccer player in the world, I still don't think we might win, because they say that he's the best, but in our last game vs USA, he hardly even touched the ball, and he didn't score a single goal. The only reason we even won the last game was because of luck. We were losing from 0 to 2 and in the second part we scored 4 goals and USA didn't score any other...
But I still thing that our chances of winning are slim. Our team have become crap. Nosso time eh uma bosta! D:

Dunga never what?

So I guess he never played for Brazil and has the captain. Especially in the Olympic games. YEAHHHHHHHHH.

Our team became crap? You forgot one thing. Nowadays, internationally, every team is getting balanced. You see people from the Middle East and Asia mingling in the European leagues.

The other teams are getting better. And that pressures the oldies who we put our money in. This makes strategies to change, which requires people to change mentalities. And that's hard. Reallllly hard.

I was talking about Brazilian teams. Like, if you know, Flamengo, Palmeiras... (Y'know, how US has many American football league teams, it the same thing in Brazil but with soccer.
