I am not a fan, as you can tell. I hate this peace of crap. Its boring it has no real romance. Jacob is a pedo and AND Edward is a emotionally abusive a- hole. The Vampires SPARKLES it shouldn't even be called a Vampire. It should be called a pixie or Fairy. Why for crying out loud did that woman ever get published?

I am a writer, and it makes me sad to see stuff like that out on the bookshelves at Barnes and Noble. Trust me Harry Potter, is better at least until the sixth and seventh book.

Yakatsu's right. This has spawned a new, darker age where it's okay to have kids as long as you're with your sparkling vampire lover.

As well as that, this book discusses:

-Teen pregnancy
-Pedophelia
-Vampire sex
-And probably more, only I haven't bothered to read any of the books but still know the entire plotline thanks to my friends.

This stuff really isn't okay, but Stephanie Myers is romanticizing it like is okay because the glitter vampire and his slutty girlfriend did it. What kind of example is this setting? Poor teenage girls with awful role models. (I'm looking at you, Miley Cyrus)

Alright this thread will remain open as long as you don't bash it to hell and back. Sure you can dislike the series and make jokes (go crazy with photoshop all you want Yaka) but don't go "THIS IS THE WORST PIECE OF kitten TO EVER GRACE THE PLANET" and we can have a reasonable discussion eh?

My thoughts? I don't care for the series. It's made for a certain demographic--young teenage girls--and as an older male I find no appeal for it. But I also don't understand this undying hatred towards it which seems people just dislike popular things to be cool. It covers pubescent romance for young girls. big deal. If it bothers you so much why not protest Bratz dolls which tell girls to be sluts or Matel's "my first kitchen" teaching girls to be domesticated housewives. It doesn't "ruin" vampires since there are other forms of media that you can read/watch to entrain yourself with that has vampires but nothing beats the original Dracula.

I enjoy TrueBlood which some people call the "adult" form of Twilight. If you hate Twilight so much you should give it a try for a more "mature" viewing.

She romanticizing everything in her so called book it like. Oh Jacob, was the only one I actually liked until Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. That when he seem he would be turning in to a Gary sue.



The Imprinting on a baby kinda turned me off of his character. She romanticized it which made me sick to my stomach.


For those that don't know what Imprinting is got this from the Wiki

Imprinting occurs when a shape shifter finds their soul mate. The moment the shape shifter sees the one they are destined to be with, they imprint. It is described as having every connection with everything else severed and instead being only connected to this earth for the other person. After that, nobody else matters because you are only there for your other half, your soul mate.

So basically, it just pedophilia at it best.
