I meant to reply earlier, but work has been crazy. Hopefully it'll settle down this week.
We've been discussing the ideas a lot in our highly secret Kage room, and we have a couple of things to share. I'm sure more things will happen as I and the others work our way down the list of suggestions.
First of all, we will not be creating an adult discussion forum as we believe that we already have intelligent and mature discussions on the regular forums. Look around and you can already see threads covering topics such as the news, economy, politics, as well as a few debates. It was suggested that the adult area could simply be a place where people could be able to use swear words more freely. I'm sorry, but I cannot support that idea. Swearing doesn't make untalented comedians sound any funnier, and it most certainly won't improve discussion. There is a difference between being Mature-rated and actually being mature.
Second, due to popular demand, we will create a Tech Help forum, where you can ask for - and give - help on things like computer issues.
I just need to take a look at the current forum layout we have, and try to see if we can improve it in some way. After all, Ichiraku already has enough subforums.
Work permitting, I can do that this week if the proposals meet with approval.
And finally, I must apologise for the unclear question I asked regarding the "community website"! Looking at the feedback, it is clear there are mixed feelings. I've decided that I will construct a test website first, which will be opened to all members when it is ready, so you can try out the new layout and features and give us your feedback.
You'll be able to say what features you like, what you don't like, and if you completely hate it I'll dump the whole website idea.
