The drama I have the most fondest memories of is Delicious Proposal, way back in 2001 when I had to rent dramas on VHS from the local Korean market, lol. It's a romantic comedy cooking drama and was the breakout roles for actresses Son Yejin and So Yoojin. The drama I'm watching now, Personal Preference, also stars Son Yejin, kukuku
The actress I'm in love with right now though is Lee Minjung, lol

I really didn't like Boys over Flowers (the most recent one). I know the manga was just as convoluted, but it was just so drawn out... and the car accident... and the amnesia. @_@
I'm currently watching Personal Preference and it's pretty good so far! (It's kind of funny because Lee Minho was the lead in BOF and I hated him, but I think he's pretty cool in PP. XD)
I don't really have a fave actor/actress because I feel like I haven't seen enough dramas to make an informed decision.

Funny. I was watching Boys over Flowers yesterday with my college peers and it was so freaking silly.
What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

I can't believe that people are still talking BOF even after 3 or so years (even though it's been redone so many times!) and now PP... lol. Not saying that it's bad, but the talk is just a bit delayed with current dramas imo.
I don't know why, but in my heart I have a soft spot for this understated (as in not as big a fanbase as Boys over Flowers and You're Beautiful) drama, "Smile, You." It's not your typical cliched kdrama and is a nice family drama, though there were some aspects to it that were aggravating, especially toward the latter half. It's also the first time one of my favorite actresses, Lee Min Jung (pictured above courtesy of digifruit and my avatar to the side) was the lead actress.
Another drama that stands out to me is "Can You Hear My Heart" and is a bit of a melodrama with angst being thrown left and right, but it's written nicely and is from the same writer as "Smile, You."
Current trends that people have been raving about so far are "Gaksital" which depicts a hero in 1930's Korea during Imperialism fighting for Korean independence, and "Answer Me, 1997" which is a nice blast to the past drama that takes place primarily in the late '90's.
There's a lot more great kdrama out there, but these are the ones that stand out the most to me at the moment.
Ack! Lemme backtrack a moment. There was another nice drama (kinda crack-ish at times and a massive fanbase) is called "Dream High" which features in present day, a famous artist called "K" which we try to determine ourselves from a photo of six male and female teenagers (in K's teenage years) and we leap back about five to eight years in the past to his/her school days, where we see each teenager grow as artists. The real gem of the drama is the execution and the directing, so hopefully nobody will be disappointed.

City Hunter was really good. I was surprised at the production quality of the scenes in Thailand. The fight scenes were extremely good. They were movie level!
I have watched a few more dramas since last year.
- Lie to Me
- Faith
- City Hunter
- I Miss You
I liked all of them for different reasons. Lie to Me was a fun drama. Some antics and romance, but not immature. Faith had AMAZING period costumes. Also the plot was pretty good. City Hunter had an awesome story. I felt it was KIND OF like FMP. Obviously there were differences, but the MC reminded me of Sousuke a lot. I Miss You is the first 'sad' drama I've ever watched. Holy crap you will bawl your eyes out if you watch this. It's so freaking sad. Yoon Eun Hye is like a different person from all of her previous roles.
Anyway, after that heavy drama, I'm ready to watch a nice romance a la Personal Prefernce or Lie to Me. xD

Hey does anyone recognize the clips from this video? It is the official music video for a new song by Phoenix but it looks like they made it out of clips from a K-drama...
