#951892 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by My Living Curse on 14 October 2017 - 10:36 PM

Okay, let's do such thing, you agree that you don't know how it works, and you don't know what retcon is, or even more, you know, but don't want to admit it, that's ridiculous. Please, restrict yourself from calling your opinion "truth" when it's merely your own opinion, with that you just calling people here "liars", so can you stop with that bs, ok? Thanks.

About being pro-ender, well, congrats on that, happy that you like it. With your "critical thinking" it suits you (that's a sarcasm, don't take it literally). Why people here must be obligated to like it? You can take your own suggestion and go to site where more people will agree on your "truth" :)

I put it simple, call yourself NS fan, or whatever you want. But please don't refer to "we" with people in here, as something tells me from what I saw, nobody in here, has the same opinion about NS, would that be to much for you?

I made a response to her "tactics" about a month ago. Here's the same bit from Sept.

"The reason she joined was just to constantly debate and disagree on anything we say. Whatever we might say or present she has a method of going on about it.

1) She reads it all, analyzes (get it?) and looks for anything she can pick out of it to choose to write her rebuttal.

2) If she cannot do so then she will create a response perpendicular to the theme of each thread/comment and expand on that.

3) If she also fails to do that then she will try to change the topic completely and try to derail it with an entirely different thesis."

It's a game (and a quite unhealthy one at that). And no amount of fancy grammatical and sentence structure will hide that. Not a single thing she's posted has shown the slightest bit of NS.

Ironically, it backfired overall. While still making money, it's nowhere near any sort of blockbuster amounts like "Naruto" used to be up to the Pein Arc.

After the ending, and especially when the true contents of The Last were revealed, anime viewership plummeted, manga sales plummeted, merchandise gathered so much dust that they had to be taken down, and it's no longer near the top of any polls.

Yea I know that's what I'm implying. (The gif was meant to be sarcastic btw) But they didn't care if they'd ruin the story or mess up plot consistency. All that matters is any extra cash, no matter how little, they can keep milking out of the series. And judging by the current fanbase on various websites and youtube, they're still raking it in from these type of folks. It's just sad, but that's all that matters in this franchise nowadays.  :sweatdrop:

Thank you for the welcome :)

And I feel you...

Hiya there, and welcome!  :D

The easiest solution is trying being like Sasuke and Hinata in real life.

Know someone you really love? Stalk them. Take pictures, hide behind trees, make them scarfs, and just act weird around them. See what happens.

Which reminds me!  :th_yeah:

sSLUJ3g.jpg

oh i forgot about the stupid it "i thought it was about ramen" bs wtf were they thinking?! this was the worst handling of a main titled character i've ever seen. why the hell did they hire a guy who never read the manga or at least should have done his damn homework?

Honestly they just didn't care. Hell, even the author didn't care so why would they. Whatever would help set the way for the part 3 series so we can keep the cash cow padding wallets. Sad really.

And like I said before, at least with the Sharingan and Mangekyo Sharingan, Yahagi was smart enough to make sure there limitations and/or downsides to them that helped overall balance out their power.

Both of them using a lot of chakra (the Mangekyo using a lot more).

The normal Sharingan simply giving perception of time moving slower, not literally (hence why Lee was able to easily beat Sasuke even though Sasuke could see his moves - Sasuke himself simply not being able to physically keep up in real time, so being able to see Lee's moves was pointless). And even though they can copy how to use a jutsu they see others use, it's still up to themselves to actually be able to actually master it.

The Mangekyo Sharingan eventually resulting in inevitable blindness as soon as it's awakened while using it speeds up the process, and even something like Izanagi resulting in literal loss of use of the eye used to cast it (hence the eye closing) rather than mere blindness, while Izanami results in immediate blindness in the eye that casts it.

It was when they pulled the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the crap of it being able to become the Rinnegan and such that things just went out of control.

I agree, slow loss of sight into eventual blindness, was a pretty good penalty for using such power. I'll be honest, I loved the usage of Amaterasu and Tsukuynomi. They were powerful and feared but they exacted a heavy toll on the user. But then we get that Eternal silliness where you can use the MS at full power with no penalty at all. Oh and then we have the 50 foot glowing samurais. Oh and then apparently it turns into the Rinnegan and summons meteors!  :wot:

Which reminds me, why couldn't Pain/Nagato summon meteors? (I'm not talking about Planetary Devestation, as Madara plainly summons two meteors when he fights the Shinobi force).

Let me reverse that and ask this question as well. Why couldn't Madara use powers that Pain/Nagato used like Shinra Tensei and the other Deva Paths? Oh boy, don't you just love this stuff!  :sleepy:

#951476 The whole Fake Confession bit is one of the worst written parts of the series

Posted by My Living Curse on 11 October 2017 - 07:23 PM

yup, in my opinion, the real Naruto would have been ready to rip Sasuke's throat or anyone's throat who threatens Sakura-Chan, let alone tries to murder her. But as I pointed out, he loves her to pieces, but doesn't act like a man in love when it comes to Sasuke. The most anger I have ever seen Naruto show towards Sasuke was during the Exams and the War Arc. He would say, "Sasuke, you bastard." and that would be the end of it, instead of acting like a man in love and letting anyone including Sasuke know that if he lays a hand on or threatens the girl he loves, he'll kick their ass or even kill them if need be. That's what the real Naruto would do in my opinion.

The funny thing is he became so obsessed with the Sauce in Part 2. In part 1 they were 2 teammates who couldn't get along well. How did that translate to being brothers and in love with each other? WTF.

What happened to the driving goal of being respected by the village and becoming Hokage?  And why did he tie saving Sasuke with that dream? Remember back in the Chunin Exams arc, when Gaara is undergoing that Shukaku transformation and he pins Sakura to the tree. Naruto's only concern is to do what he can to stop him and save her. While Sasuke just sits in the background.

If I could count how many times he said, "Sasuke this, Sasuke that" I'd have an entire manga. Oh wait... :hehehe:

#951424 Naruto: Alternative The Last (Doujinshi)

Posted by My Living Curse on 11 October 2017 - 04:34 AM

It's a great doujin I need more xD... inthis dj I remembered why a loved naruto so much... he has made the old a amazing naruto come back to life and erase the boruto's dad image... I hope he and ladygt start to work together, they would make an amazing job

I agree, it's brought back feelings I thought were long gone for this series. The characters, actions, plot and story direction are consistent and well done. I have nothing but great respect for his passion and extensive work with each page that gets uploaded!

Will follow it no matter how long it takes for him to finish!  :thumb:

And yea I miss LadyGT's work as well. She was also quite talented. I believe her last Naruto work was back in 2015? Long time huh =/

#951267 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

Posted by My Living Curse on 08 October 2017 - 09:10 PM

Lazy Sunday for me.  :sleepy:  So here's something I remembered. We've spent the last 5-6 years reading the war arc, that people forget the original half of Shippuden.

That whole capturing the tailed beasts motive changed like 3-4 times throughout the manga. Why? (Again what I'm writing comes straight from the manga!)

Pain: The Akatuski's goal is to be "An organization that will accept money for contracts of war...from both small nations and small shinobi villages alike. At first we'll take on all sorts of conflicts for little money so we can exclusively corner the war market...Then we will use the Tailed Beasts to cause new wars altogether. Eventually we'll be a monopoly controlling all wars. And once we are in control, we can destroy the system of shinobi villages even in the Great Nations, which will finally allow us to attain our true goal...World Domination!"

(This is from Volume 36, chapter 329) Is this really the same Kishimoto? This writing and plot direction does not add up with what happens later. It feels more mature and intelligent (even by Naruto standards).

Tobi: Haha I'm the real mastermind! The real goal of capturing Tailed Beasts is for the "Eye of the Moon" plan, in order to put everyone in the eternal dream. Okay, I guess?

Madara: HAHA, I'm actually the REAL mastermind! He originally tells young Obito that capturing the tailed beasts is needed simply to reflect the Tsukuynomi off the moon so that it affects the entire world. Remember that white plane he shows him, and says it is an unfinished canvas? The goal was to bring everyone there. A “slight” deviation”. But then we get the best part.

Kaguya (aka Ms. Asspull): Suckers! I was the real mastermind all along! As the black blob explains: The "REAL" goal of the infinite tsukuynomi was to trap everyone in cocoons to make a white plant zombie army to fight the Otsutsuki Space troopers of the Galactic Federation who are planning to invade Earth for "REASONS". Wait what?!

Again, the direction of the story changes drastically, and terribly, but notice how this all happens after the Pain Arc. So it makes me wonder. Just how much of Naruto is "actually" Kishimoto's story? Again, we've spent the last few years on the war arc that we forget what Naruto once was. These things just don't add up. Go back and read old chapters and you'll notice the inconsistencies and plot changes. Fascinating ain't it?

#951032 Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Anime Discusion

Posted by My Living Curse on 06 October 2017 - 02:29 AM

So I got another Boruto review recommended to me by youtube again. Since i kkep getting them I decided to take a look at this one partially because the title interested me; The real problem with Boruto. Before the video finished loading I looked at the comment section the first comment I saw was the reviewer saying this.

"Alright let's just address the most common comment:

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MANGA DOESN'T COUNT!

An anime adaptation should be able to stand on its own, and opening with nearly 20 episodes of what is essentially filler that keeps Boruto's character in a state of non-progress is entirely unacceptable and sets a bad precedent for the story to come.
If the TV series took place after the movie, then we would've seen interesting stuff happening from episode one, but it didn't.
Just watch episodes 18-23 (18 is basically a standalone Naruto OVA, and 19-23 is Scarlet Spring, the last thing written by Kishimoto), and then watch the Boruto movie."

Now I have no clue what this person's opinion is at the moment I am typing this. But if the most frequent rebuttal to what ever he says is "The manga doesn't count," or if that's his rebuttal to comments by his viewers. Yes, it does. At the moment the anime maybe doing it own thing but the anime staff fully intended to follow the manga. This is not Super where both are equal and are doing their own thing. The anime started off at the academy in-order to stall to give the manga more time to come up with a story. The manga is the primary story, the anime is merely an adaptation.

Isn't that the common response the fanbase has nowadays when somone tries to mention anything wrong with Taco Bell's Burrito Supreme? (Yep, I'm kinda hungry, don't judge)  :D

#951030 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

The story is literally about becoming Hinata's husband and saving Sasuke, and by that definition, Hinata-sama was his dream girl and that's who he was supposed to be with, she was the girl he loves, and nothing in the story shows otherwise, even up to Chapter 699.

Fixed that for you. Apparently this is what the story was really all about. We've been reading it wrong all along folks!

#950810 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by My Living Curse on 03 October 2017 - 09:24 PM

The problem with Kishi is that he's too easily influenced (either by editors, crazy fan mail, popularity polls etc) and doesn't stand up for himself and say: "This is MY manga, I want to end it in MY way". Of course it's not to say that listening to editors is bad since we owe the first like 10 YEARS of the manga to his main editor. Heck, wasn't Naruto originally supposed to be about making ramen and a Hokage dog?

It's clear that up to Ch.450, the manga was following a plot guideline as there's less plotholes or asspulls, and everything is more cohesive and balanced. Plus it has that feel of how an ending should be. After that though, Kishi was literally making most of it up as he goes as I believe he states in one of his interviews (correct me if I'm wrong). More explosions, giant power ups (to suit Jump's Shonen genre), caving into fandoms, letting Ikemoto do Burrito because he wanted him to publish (really?). The list goes on.

Again it's good to take external sources into consideration, but when you're working on a story for 15 years, and you're dedicating your life to your ONLY work, at least have the dignity to end it as you wanted, and don't sell out.

Also Fun Fact: In the author's note for Volume 47 we get this message: "The Plot development toward the finale having been settled, I am drawing full steam ahead! Please continue enjoying Naruto until the end!"

-Kishimoto 2009

Of course, take that as you will (I know how some will), but I have NOT seen an author's note from Kishi like that in any volume again, especially in 71 which is "supposedly" the volume of the "final boss". It's clear when he cared and didn't care. Again these are small details, but it's important to take note of them.

Maybe in Analyzer's bizarro world,  demeaning and marginalizing NS moments is her definition of support (which corroborates with my theory that she is a cult worshipper of Cthulhu).

They she shot herself in the foot in that scene where she commented on naruto's hand when neji's still fresh corpse is at her feet.

Neji dies to oversized twigs launched from the Scooby Doo Tar Monster (great look alike right?).

Hinata: "Holy crap! Thanks Kishi! This is my chance to make my move on Naruto-kun! Oh yea!"

Hell, even Lee cried more for Neji...
