Yeah, all they got left is NaruSasu (because Japan likes yaoi for whatever reason) and dead characters like Jiraiya and Itachi that weren't completely ruined by the ending.

You right compared to the other cover this one isn't the sketch drawings style the all the first 5 had at very least. I think this to say he isn't even tangentially involve in the slightest with these novels now.

 

Edit: Oh wait the post Namikaze posted says he did do the cover art...not sure if the person just assuming or not but if it is the case. If that true then it changes to it clear he is no longer putting any effort into it. He is done with Naruto and knows it a sunken ship and hope that he can escape it with the sci fi manga he now planning/writing.

Well, it did have his artwork and it was advertised as "after the series end." Now, it's just a novel. It's why Jiraiya was sold much less.
