Judging by the pics I've seen the cast seem to fit very well into the characters (even though Spock comes off more like Sylar from Heroes considering their the same actor) and I can't wait to see this movie.

Huh, I thought it was a movie sequel. Hopefully the movie doesn't intimidate just those looking to watch a good movie by putting plenty of hidden or obscure/inside references that one would get if he/she was a Trekkie (no offense folks).
And is that Karl Urban??? OMG I didn't recognize him without long hair and/or facial hair combined with his perpetual frown! Seriously though, Karl Urban rocks.

Agreed, They just built a new theater near us that has the largest screen in our state, and Star Trek in the first movie they are playing on it. Im stoked!

Seeing a press release at IMAX early on Wednesday can't effin wait! Also Quantam of Solace wasn't as good as Casino Royale, but was still a good movie.

I have never been much of a trekkie ( the original series was okay but the sequels took themselves far too seriously) That said I might go see this cuz it looks interesting.
