Isn't this the same guy who trained for MONTHS while always maintaining 1000 simaltaneous shadow clones? Didn't he spawn hundreds of clones to go to hundreds of different places while fighting in a freaking WAR? You mean he can't even be bothered to create one shadow clone to act like a stay at home dad in order to prevent his own kid from experienced what he himself experienced during his childhood? If Naruto wanted to, he could not just father his own kids; he could father EVERY KID IN THE VILLAGE (or should I say city, since Konoha evidently became NYC in just a decade)? With his current chakra levels, he could probably father every kid in ALL FIVE villages.

 

Did Kishi even think about this ending (like you know, think about things he HIMSELF established) or is Naruto himself so fed up with it that he'd rather stay at work and drink himself under the table as oppossed to doing what we know the Naruto we've grown up with would do?

There's no good explanation. It seems like Kishi set that up all so Naruto could give his son a lecture about enduring. Apparently Naruto wasn't meant to change the old suffering ways of the ninja world after all.

So part 3 could have conflict. The neglectful father conflict. Staring naruto expy and sakura expy with uchiha flavor.

Remember, no conflict no story.

The Naruto I knew would have sent a shadow clone to the Kage meeting and the real him would have went with his son...

This ending will always be bullsh** in my eyes.  I can only hope that this isn't the real ending. fighting dreamers

 

At least him doing something like that would have been kind of sweet and added some semblance of humanity and soul to this ending.

All I can say is the manga ended with finale of Naruto VS Sasuke (698) the rest didn't happen.

I do think Bolt would see it as a cheap substitute. It's better than the alternative, but it's using ninjustu rather than what he should be doing: making time. It just not the same and I could see Bolt still being resentful. However, the better question is if the five nations are at peace why can't he make the time? After his own childhood you'd think he'd find ways to make the times not fail to do so and then tell his son to suck it up.

Eh . . .given what we've seen in the series, I don't think it matters since they are all the same and Naruto will retain all the memories when he disperses (assuming that hasn't been retconned too). Still, if that's the problem, the solution is for the "real" Naruto to stay home. Problem solved.

At least Power Puff girls don't have endings that disregard everything else in the episode . .. most of the time anyway.

Well that's not what I meant. I mean they treated that Juubi was the only story. No, the story is his journey.
