I played this like crazy back when it was first released a few years ago, and the relaunch is pretty awesome too so far. Anyone else here play it, by any chance? The number of active users isn't that large at the moment, usually ranging from 100-200 people. I recommend checking it out if you haven't already.
If anyone here has ever played Naruto Arena (http://www.naruto-arena.com) or Soul Arena (http://www.soul-arena.com), this game uses a similar base gameplay system, but with major differences, some of which are:
- Original characters, artwork, and storyline completely unique to the game (unlike N-a and S-a, which are respectively based off of Naruto and Bleach)
- With the original storyline comes a Story mode, where you play story chapters through different characters' perspectives
- Equippable items that add an extra layer to gameplay
- A fully functional AI system in addition to the PvP system
- Custom skins (I have been loving this new option to death)
- Ladder rank has nothing to do with unlocking characters or content (a massive relief for me in particular, considering how laddering up to Sannin rank in N-a just to be able to unlock all available characters was unnecessarily stressful; here, laddering is just playing against other players for some good competition, like it should be)
