We're now getting stage interactions. (Sorry Chun-Li!!!) This was shown during the demonstration fight with Mike Ross and Combofiend at the Capcom Cup. Best part is, once thrown into the stage interaction via Super/Ultra, its permanent... LOL!

So basically Microsoft has Killer Instinct, Sony has SF 5 and Nintendo has Smash Bros. as exclusives (Nintendo also has Pokken Tournament and both MS & Sony has Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat X)

 

SF 5 shouldn't be console exclusive, but I understand why Sony decided to convince Capcom to do this move, when this comes out it should be a prime moment to buy a PS4 for those of us that don't have it yet if by then we still don't have one

 

Also..........no way, he's somewhat was right in SF 4, thinking he was alive!

So basically, this is an analysis video of the alpha build.

 

From what we gather is:

 

*Characters may have different number of EX bars.

*Stances based on elements (Ryu = lightning, Chun-Li = water) and these stances are probably similar to Darkstalkers 3/Vampire Savior's Dark Force where the characters have limited boosts, properties and abilities. These stances cost meter.

*Speaking of these new stances, they can end probably differently for each character, Ryu lost his when he get hit, Chun-Li lost hers by knockdown.

*Just Defend (shown in Garou Mark of the Wolves, Capcom Vs. SNK 2 and Guilty Gear) now in Street Fighter

*Revenge bar is for supers/ultras.

*There is no chip damage to end matches. And there's also some sort of recovery system.

I love her fighting style! She was awesome in Alpha 3. If she was in 4, she definitely be my back-up main! That's why I'm pissed at Capcom that they wouldn't allowed Karin (she was created by the guy who made the Sakura Ganbaru! manga, so immediately that screams licenses and copyrights) and R. Mika return to the series. Karin appeared in other games (Namco X Capcom, Capcom Fighting Evolution/Jam -ugh-) and is a popular character, so why she didn't get her chance in 4? Her gameplay is perfect for the system.

I mean capcom effing screws Megaman and his fanbase by canceling his game and not putting him in MVC3. However, they don't cancel DMC that pissed the fans cause they want to attract a western audience. Its disgusting.

 

I can hardly see Capcom making the effort to get her back. Ironically, they have been up and remaking Re rebirth in Hd despite trying to please a western audience with Re6 going TPS.

Actually, let's go through Birdie's evolution.

 

Street Fighter 1: Very skinny and white. British punk. Capcom admitted in his storyline that he was very sick.

 

Street Fighter Alpha series: Now looking a Black British punk, more near muscular/large, with a hole in the mohawk.

 

Now for 5: Fat. Literally. Also lost the hole in the hair.

Is that E-Honda at 1.06 or Akuma? Or someone else, the face paint makes me think E-Honda but the eyes look evil so I'm not sure, might be a new charactor.

 

Not sure what to make of the new look Ken, He reminds me more of the Ken from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo for some reason where his kicks confused the heck out of me. Hopefully he plays well, i'll just have to get used to his look.

Don't worry. Capcom just announced about the retro looks for the characters that has changes will be coming, probably as DLC or unlockables (doubt it).
