Choujin X - I'm currently on the fence regarding pairings for this series since it's still in its preliminary phases, but I am leaning towards supporting Tokio and Ely as a ship.  While Tokio does have a crush on Monama, it seems pretty transient in nature, so I'm not sure if it will be treated seriously in the future since it's pretty one-sided and the two of them don't interact much, but who can say. Meanwhile, Tokio and Ely seem to have good chemistry with one another and Tokio does hint at being attracted to her a few times.

Anyway my immediate excitement aside,  that's actually really interesting you view Tokio and Ely as a potential ship for Choujin X.     Truth be told,  I didn't really take into that consideration at all.   

 

While I've been reading through the story I've been viewing their bond to be that of a a big brother and a little sister   think of Kaneki & Hinami's bond from Ishida Sensei's first series. 

 

When it comes to Tokio's crush on Maiko  that is one where I feel it's too soon to make a judgement call on. 

 

 

But if I know anything about Sui ishida and his writing style... the man have one pebble sized detail that could be considered a throwaway moment and somehow make it to where it becomes a major plot point or crucial building point for characters getting together. 

 

 

So that is definitely one thing I'm keeping an eye on with this latest series: Choujin X  

 

 

That aside,  the idea of Tokio & Ely being a ship is something I could see depending what direction Sui Ishida goes into. 

 

 

If you don't mind me asking Kagomaru, what's been your thoughts about the manga from the beginning to where we are currently at?

cant believe I forgot to mention Lloyd and Collette from Tales of Symphonia. Want them to get together. 

 

Same. An OTP from my adolescence and one I carry to this day.   Well side materials seem to consider them a couple at least, though not one that blatantly displays affections so a pretty tame and chaste on if anything.

KiriSuna (Kirito x Asuna)  - Sword Art Online 

 

 

 

Going through a rewatch marathon with my best friend and we just made it to Alicization < - he hasn't seen it yet.    Truth be told I was just remember what it is  I love most about Kirito and Asuna's relationship and their love story.  Especially seeing how far the two characters have come since the very beginning of the series!

Nier Automata - 9S x 2B

 

 

Watching the 1:1 anime adaptation reminded me why I absolutely adore these two tragic characters and their paradoxical relationship. They're also among the (very) lucky few in the Taroverse to get a happy ending after years of being trapped in a cycle of needless war that beget nothing but nihilistic helplessness, relentless violence and existential horror.

I always liked Zoe and Takuya from Digimon Frontiers (I believe?) . I think the series ended before it could finish though. Also, Takato and Jeri.

LuNa - One Piece 

 

 

 

I've going through a One Piece re-read recently over the last 16 days from the very beginning, and really the more and more I think about it.  LuNa/ LuNami really capture the essence and spirit of NaruSaku a lot, but I feel it's also amplified even more organically and subtly. I've also been a huge fan of their dynamic and chemistry for nearly 20 years now. So it really means a lot to dating it all the way back to 2004.

TaiChi (Taiki x Chinatsu) - Blue Box 

 

 

 

It's been a really long time since I've been heavily invested in a sports series.... I think the last one for me Kuroko's Basketball, and what i love about this one was that one character is heavily into basketball and the other is involved in Badminton. Taiki and Chinatsu's blooming romance is one I think many can see coming just based off the first chapter, but what I adore about Kouji Miura's writing is that her story isn't ending with them becoming a couple. As of Chapter 110;  She is also exploring and developing Taiki and Chinatsu's dynamic as a couple.

Definitely.  It's honestly a refreshing take to see the main protagonist treat the zombie apocalypse as a wonderful new lease on life lol.   The series seamlessly transitions from wholesome and zany, to somber and horrifying without feeling tonally disjointed.  The main character, Akira, is pretty relatable since his motive in the series is just trying to experience all of the joys and missed opportunities that he couldn't have because he worked for a Black Company for the last four years (aka a company that practices in exploitive measures to take advantage of its employees and operates on the culture of Crunch Time).

good to see this series is still loved among the amazing stuff at otakon i did see a shana cosplayer it's sad that the light novel translation rights were bought by viz and they stopped releasing the translations because of lack of sales i did see news that a new shakugan no shana s novel is coming this year not sure if it's released yet

ns will always be my favorite ship but one ship i'm rooting for is chizuru and kazuya from kanojo okarishimasu it really seems like there is some inspiration taken from narusaku for these two: i mean just look at the portrayal of the characters on this cd cover:

kazuya has a swirl which looks like the uzumaki seal a little

of course it isn't the only ship i have but it's nice to see the dynamic between these two and how sometimes it reminds me of ns. there's also the live action drama which so far i've really enjoyed

After hearing that Hajime Kanzaka has decided to work on a 16th Slayers novel (and given that the last volume ended with Lina thinking that Gourry will propose to her as they return to her hometown), I have to restate my love for this couple.

great couple it reminds me of ns as well I got a print with these two at a anime con can't remember if it was anime nyc or sacanime

Same.  I keep hoping that Yen Press, Seven Seas or even J-Novel will pick it up. As for the new novel, it hasn't been released yet.
