So with X-Men Apocalypse slowly making it's way to the big screen, another 3 months to be exact, and I got to say since X-Men First Class the love I had for the X-Men Movies has resurfaced considering the release of The Wolverine and X-Men Days of Future Past which are arguably my two favorite X-Men films to date with X-2 and X-Men 1 beneath them. Let me be clear even though First Class was great I kinda had my doubts when The Wolverine and X-Men Days of Future Past (My favorite X-men storyline in the comics and the cartoons). Of course I was proven wrong with how amazing they would be for the better, and I got to say this is the first time I've been excited for an X-Men movie in a long time.
Anyway, this thread is obviously to discuss anything about the X-Men films from directors, cast, characters, etc. However, I am a little curious are you guys really looking forward to X-Men Apocalypse and why?

Of course! I loved Days of Future Past and am SO looking forward to Apocalypse because well he's one of the strongest X=men adversaries around and film looks genuinely GREAT

I can't for X-Men Apocalypse it looks good and Psylocke will be in it and she is my favorite female X-Men next to X-23 and Storm and Rogue. Hope they do Apocalypse right in this cause this is the villain everyone wants to see in an X-Men movie. It's going to suck when Hugh Jackman leaves Wolverine but I get it he has been playing the for almost 20 years just let him go out on good note.

We finally get bald McAvoy after two movies with him in as Professor X also Michael Fassbender is awesome as young Magneto. I still think Captain America Civil War will be better.

So far based on the trailers it looks promising, but I've learned to walk in with an open mind simply because of my high intcipation for Spider-Man 3 at the time when it came to Venom, but ofcourse this is Bryan Singer and he's given us 3 really amazing X-Men movies so I'll make this an exception.
We have similar tastes in terms of our favorite X-Men movies...
Fun fact hen it comes to McAvoy cause when he auditioned for Professor X he actually went bald and was in a wheelchair which I found hysterical when they told him that you're not gonna go bald or be crippled yet since this is in the 60s.

Yeah that's what he said the wolverine sequel will be his time to on the claws and I'm hoping we get a small cameo from him in Apocalypse since Stryker from what I know is confirmed in the movie. As much as I want to see him continue to be Wolverine, Hugh Jackman deserve to take a break from the character for the time being.
One hope I have for the new wolverine movie is Mariko comes back because i loved his relationship with her in The Wolverine and I'm just curious where she stands in the new x-men timeline post Days of Future Past. Plus I just think Wolverine and Mariko are just meant to be together having seen The Wolverine..
Also from what I hear Liev Schreiber might be returning in the Wolverine sequel as Sabertooth again which would be cool. Three other things I am excited for is that this new movie will be rated R, it's gonna adapted the Old Man Logan storyline and Patrick Stewart will be back as Charles Xavier.

I'm pretty stoked for the new film because the Apocalypse storylines were my favorite parts of the 90s cartoon. I will say I'm not crazy about Sophie Turner, though, and I expect a lot of instances of a bad American accent.

I saw it last night. I say it's better than Days of Future Past. There are two scenes that I absolutely loved with a character. Especially the first scene.

I would say it's better than days of future past. I also like the fact Mageto played his part so well and it reminded me of that old 90's animated series I use too watch. I literally cried for Mageto and felt his pain during this film. Alex also rocks in this film. Poor Xavier still don't understand how to talk to woman he loves i.e. Moira Taggert I also loved Jean in this film along with Scott.

I enjoyed X-Men Apocalypse, mainly for the character arcs. I found the stories of Charles, Eric and Raven to all be engaging and captivating. McAvoy, Fassbender and Lawrence all did well in my view, also. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that I prefer Fassbender and McAvoy's performances.
I was a bit disappointed in Apocalypse himself, though. He was kind of forgettable in my opinion.

I was planning on seeing it on Friday, but one of my cousins had a wedding over the weekend so that was something I couldn't really pass up.. Odds are I'll probably go see it tomorrow. I'm liking the positive things you guys have to say about it.

I finally say X-Men Apcalypse earlier today with my good friend J, and here is our quick little thoughts.. I'll be working my review tomorrow so expect it either tomorrow night or on Saturday:
