Do you honestly believe that this won't be another Saigon whereas the Americans leave, and then immediately afterward the puppet-government they criminally forged (albeit the South Vietnamese government wasn't forged criminally like the present ones, but that's besides the point) are attacked and fall like a house of cards? I wonder where all this 'American patriotism' comes from either side of your confusing political spectrum when it's plain as day that nothing has been done right. The people are moving against the occupiers either by force of rebel guns or by sway of American bombs, and the American "voters" all are squealing for a way out, and the political super-models are tripping over each other to say who wants to get out more. If the Americans leave, Osama wins. If the Americans stay and continually get slaughtered by people who don't want democracy or republicanism, then Osama still wins.

So, no, Strangelove, you did not get Osama; Osama got you. Just something to think about.
