I think that one was handled really well. it gave us a chance to see Sakura take on Sasuke unlike the anime and the manga.

I guess they had some test audiences that gave it a bad review. So now they have entered crunch to try to fix it. Remember this is suppose to be something that shows the popularity of the Naruto IP to the executives; so they don't pull the plug. If people don't want to watch it due to...lets go something simple the animation is bad, that is a problem.

 

It could also be they have gotten reports of how unimpressive people were with Boruto part two or the Ninja storm games predicted numbers aren't as impressive as they hoped.

The manga did better in this regard; the only thing missing were panels comparing Naruto and Sasuke, and in the end, showing Sasuke thanking her and Naruto promising to bring Sasuke back, with her apologizing to Naruto, and an image of Naruto smiling

They already likely know that the audience may have move on. That's why they are doing that 4 episode anime to check. The companies want to find out how well Naruto still sells. The anime staff delaying it just so they don't have to share the 'spotlight' (and see how bad there viewership is) will not please them.

Just heard some news.

 

Apparently, someone that was a writer for Witcher Blood Origins, Tasha Huo. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4409961/ For those that don't know, the spin off so bad it killed the main live adaptation. Other work includes a upcoming Red Sonja adaptation, that tomb raider that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is working on, and Might Nein, the upcoming Critical Role spin off. So the only thing she has that has been seen is a lore breakingly bad spin off so awful that it got the creator out of retirement to write more books.

 

She will be working on a Naruto live adaptation.

 

I just want to point out that the Live Action One Piece writer at least has marvel and star wars under his belt. https://www.imdb.com.../?ref_=tt_ov_wr And Oda still had to step in as an executive producer to try to make it work. From what I have heard it is...ok. 

 

So it is clear they are not putting much into the Naruto adaption and it will probably be a train wreck. If it even gets produced. Or are they hoping for it to be a Dragon Ball Evolution scenario where it will be so bad it would motivate Kishimoto into giving a kitten about Naruto again?

For the One Piece live action, I'm not a fan but I did watch all episodes and I must admit that I enjoy it a lot. It does show that the people that worked on it were dedicated to pull out something great and it did show in the end!

 

As for the Naruto love adaptation, seriously, while it is still an early stage, I can't help but to wish it never comes to light but if it does, knowing that such person, that did bad on previous works, might do the same for Naruto live action, help to calm my overall hate that another project about Naruto might be produced.

 

I doubt they are hoping to make it another Dragon Ball Evolution just to motivate Kishimoto to come back as again, they are trying to make products to bring money into the franchise, hoping for it to be bad just to bring back the author's motivation would be pretty stupid, even for them. There is, actually and I say this completely without bias. 1.Sasuke never leaves the village. 2. Erase all of the kitten he did towards Sakura during part 2 especially in the later parts. 3. Develop them from then on out. The stupidest kitten is not only did SasuSaku happen out of left field, it was built on the foundation of Sasuke breaking Sakura's hear by leaving in the first place and after became so indifferent to her that he has no second thoughts about killing her if she gets in his way. This may be a tough pill to swallow for us a community but it has to be said . Sasuke and Sakura would in no way be as unbelievable as they are now in the narrative if Sasuke never left in the first place and did not show all of that negativity to Sakura that would considered abusive if circumstances were different. in fact his attitude is abusive too even in part 1 but if there was development in that department then it would at least look better. I ultimately support the relationship between Naruto and Sakura because of what was shown, and not only personal preference so that has to be a two way street. IF Sakura actually had any positive development with Sasuke, then it wouldn't be an issue. But no, the authorities that confirmed their relationship took it as an easy way out for Naruto to get it on with  his "dutch wife" Hinata Hyuga and she must be his first and only love so they invalidated his feelings for Sakura and essentially a major part of his character. It ended up making him look as shallow and unsympathetic as the attempted gaslighting on what his feelings for Sakura were and we all know that is fact.

From what I understand originally the script was a standard Netflix adaptation ie absolutely nothing like One Piece beyond some characters names and clearly just chosen for the license in order to get some interest. Then Oda became an executive producer and order them to follow his manga story. Then after they finish shooting he order reshoots because they still were trying to change things to make it more "Woke." If Oda hadn't gotten involved it would have become another Cowboy Bebop Netfilx live adaptation.

 

Oda is friends with Kishimoto so he would probably give him a warning of be involved so they don't do 'that' but how much Kishi will follow that advice is who knows.

 

The fact that they are putting a writer with basically no experience kind of shows how much they are putting into this. And that Hollywood strike is still going on from what I understand. The movie has been in production hell since the ending. So this show may suffer the same fate. But this is Netflix -most likely- and they have been pushing out poor quality anime live adaptations.

 

Oh I was making a joke and mocking how this is likely going to be bad. Since, look what happens with most of Netflix anime live action adaptations; as well as what happened to the Witcher, the only writing credit the writer really has to their name.

That is unlikely. If anything they will just make SNS happen probably more for "virtue signaling" but also it be easier than to trying to explain Naruto's obsession with Sasuke needing to return to the village. Since Kishimoto pretty much relied on the audience accepting it than explaining or going into the reasoning.

I'm not saying that they would. I'm only pointing out it is not completely impossible for SS to make a believable couple, they only have to put in the effort for it, just like any other fictional couple. I'm only saying this from an objective standpoint, and am not actually for SS, but again it is only because they are portrayed so negatively. I look at them and think to my self "No way in hell I would want a relationship like that" and I'm sure everyone here agrees. but that is the thing it is because Sasuke was so horrible to Sakura even when he doesn't have to be that makes them a horrible couple. Even positive moments now won't make up for it because it is done in the most lazy @$$ shove down the audience's throats manner possible to force the issue they are a happy married couple when it is not believable to anyone not deluded by the estrogen driven fantasy of "changing the dangerous sexy cool bad boy make him yours" wish fulfillment

I assume it is a joke. I doubt the Boruto story will end that quickly as it means the whole story will only last about 13 or so chapters, and Boruto writing has never allowed it to be quick let alone that quick.
