#930612 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 19 January 2017 - 12:11 PM

Yeah, you're right. That's why I came to the conclusion that Sakura ended up taking the most crap simply because Naruto attracted a wider fanbase. It also didn't help that this fanbase has to be the most closed minded fan base I ever meet. The fact that people still call Sakura "abusive" makes me confused. It also makes me cringe when they say that Sakura herself was abusive towards Sasuke, out of all characters.

A lot of you are talking about the same thing but I'll just quote and respond to this post.

If you look at most of nH fans you can tell that they didn't  see many of anime or have an understanding of their tropes, at the time of watching Naruto. Hell they barely watched most of the other anime that came to the states since: Dragonball, Rounin Kenshin, Spirit Detective, and many other had Tsudere as the love interest. Even some current anime on toonami have a Tsudere as the love interest.

Now the reason they fell in love with Hinata and why they are obsessed with moe characters is simple, they have never seen them before. Most media in the western world would be hanged to death if it portrayed any woman in a manner similar to Hinata. But Tsudere-like characters are very common in modern media despite anime fans in the US complaints about them. Now I keep mentioning it but why do nH fans hate one type of woman but love the other? Because Tsudere-like characters remind them of all the girls that either ignore them, reject them, or just want to be friends. While moe characters are their ideal woman that will love them unconditionally, worship the ground they walk on, and basically do what ever they say without complaint. So seeing a female that they have never seen anywhere else and fulfilled their desires to make sure they never get rejected by a woman, causing them to become obsess with hinata hoping that if she got Naruto they may find their own hinata.

Edit: Also once again because of the difference between how US media and Japanese media portray woman also had a effect on how they like the ending. In short once a girl get married in any in Japanese media it is expected that she quit her job and focus on being a house wife. Also she should get married as quickly as possible because a woman passed 25 is consider a Christmas cake (spinster) in Japan. While in the US It doesn't matter to woman in media if she is single, has one kid, or a dozen kids if kickass once she must always kickass. So while they are happy their pairing happened they are upset that being the hokage wife made her a housewife instead of into a badass (also they became enrage once she lost her huge breast). While in japan they were confused that nH and SS happened (and hoped for the best) they were fine with them becoming housewives.

#930607 Review of Sasuke as a Character [Kishis worst Characterwriting]

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 19 January 2017 - 03:04 AM

Why do his supporter forget that: he was part of a terrorist group, attacked & abducted a high ranking person from another village, invaded a summit of world leaders, went rouge, attacked people from his own country, threatened to kill people from his own country, attempted to kill his former squad-mates constantly, abandon his friends country & morals seeking power for revenge, joined a man who killed two world leaders instigated a war between two countries, join an another man who declared war on the world, helped a plan that would end free will until his brother convinced him to be against it, and tried once again to kill all the world leaders in order to start a revolution in order to create a totalitarian regime that he controls from the shadows through fear (and possibly mind control)?

Was anything I said here on my own post that I am quoting; factually incorrect?

Wait that green day reject punk ass.

That's what some people think will happen by analyzing the first chapter. (Note:that is why you don't reveal too much early on; people can start to accurately guess what is going to happen in the plot.) That Nail will turn evil and kill Naruto in order to start his goal of destroying the ninja system, at age twelve. I love it because it is so incredibly anti-climatic that it will just trigger ever single nH fan out there. Remember they don't care about Naruto beyond their ability to insert themselves into him(or for girls hinata) to live out their dreams of revenge, and care nothing for his character (which was destroyed by the Last.)

The person who will kill Naruto will probably be, a twelve year old Nail.

Funny how Sakura, ino, shikamaru and temari have the best design of the last era in the show.

It been awhile since I've seen any of the designs, but that doesn't surprise me. Remember that Hinata's outfit for the Last was actually Sakura's original design for the last, that they took and modified for Hinata to make her look sexy. While they then gave Sakura a much plainer outfit, yet people still notice without even looking at the concept art. Also there was concept art for Neji in the Last as well if I recall correctly.

So knowing that here my new theory: Originally when kishi told everyone he wanted to end Naruto and the last movie SP would working would be "The Last Naruto Movie." Then he gave them the basic setting that he would like it to be set two year after the ending, and gave them concept art to work with (or maybe he gave it to them later after the next bit.) Then later it was decided that the Last movie would be canon. Then it was decided that the pairing would be nH. Since it was decided from on high that it would make the most profits and there was nothing Kishi could do. Then the ending was dictated to him for the most part on what needed to be their for the spin off they were planing and what input he was allowed to provide.

So if he gave it to them before Hinata become the heroine it because he imagine she wouldn't be that important, if after spite.

I though they were alright already taking from super and will continue to do so. Still waiting for golden madara and black naruto.

It is really the only way they could make a weekly show out of that monthly dragging its heels manga. And since Super has been such a success, and they basically already decided the ending the to the Naruto manga with the Last. Why not give them control of the Boruto story?

watched this week's episode and it makes me think this naruto really doesn't know what the difference is between loving someone and loving a sweet

God, they really can't make his face look right without the headband. The small amount o' hair does not help them.

Edit: Now I see why it is off they have the nose too low and the eye too far apart.

#930207 Failing the Written Chuunin Exams Challenge

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 11 January 2017 - 11:10 AM

Sasuke would immediately resent Sakura for quitting after he went through the effort of cheering her up before the exam (the only time he has ever done that.) Making him miss out on fighting stronger foes to challenge himself in the exams like Gaara; in a quest to become stronger for his revenge. Naruto would probably defend Sakura thinking the pressure got to her. Sakura would feel guilty on letting Sasuke down but at least be glad that she let Naruto be able to continue to pursue his dream. Not sure what Kakashi would do. More people would have quit including Hinata, but if Team 9 passed they may informed the others of the true test; which would make Sasuke angrier at her, Sakura even more guilty about it because it was all for nothing apparently, and Naruto will be upset at first but quickly come to Sakura's defense as well as try to cheer her up. Then Sakura may confess to someone while she is drowning in her guilt, why she did that. If that someone is Naruto or Naruto eventually here about it; that would move him even more in love with her because she did it for him. Then it depends where someone takes it from there.

OK this guys theory is that Naruto will be killed by nail before a time-skip; which will also be the time Bolt gets that scar as well as Sasuke's sword and Headband. So Sasuke probably dead too.

Not a bad plot if it happens. Imagine if they started off on that instead of rehashing the movie for a year. Then again after nine or so months of this so far; anything sound better then rehashing the movie one month at a time.

#929907 Do My Eyes Decieve Me ?! Hinata Worried About Sasuke ?! Big Step With...

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 05 January 2017 - 03:36 PM

This is because SP after everything that has happened over the past two years. Now understands that nH was not a popular as they thought it was and most of their fans especially in Japan were more in favor of NS.

But that does not mean they are going for NS in the anime or what you really want SH.

This was just an attempt to justify the ending even more. Remember that hinata and Sakura are suppose to have this great friendly relationship since that and Sakura was sympathetic to hinata desires to be together with Naruto because of her desires to be together with Sasuke; was what led to her pushing the nH relationship together in the last. So her showing concern for Sasuke is suppose to show how much concern she has for and how close she gotten to Sakura. Since clearly she really more trying to be there more for Sakura .So she has someone to talk about the events then Hinata having affection for Sasuke. So that was the justification for the Sakura and Hinata interactions.

The reason Naruto and Sakura are having interactions are simple. Most of the fans especially in Japan wanted NS and liked their relationship. So have them interact with each other to appease those fans to hopefully draw then back. In order to boost rating to get them out of the red and appease their bosses. But all the while still planing to go through with both the nH wedding and the Boruto anime. So they are just trying to get them acting like they used to in order to appease their old fans while Sakura talks about her feelings towards Sasuke.

All this is trying to justify the ending again and to try and get their former fans to both like and accept the end pairings.

Also I am reading the Boruto manga. I am the one that does the summaries on this site for each chapter. And I will tell you this; "It. Is. kitten."

#929740 Boruto The Next Generation: Chapter 8

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 02 January 2017 - 01:36 AM

Well that just shows how bad they are then at this rate they will keep moaning that this was all our fault I bet.

They are spoiled brats that cared only about their self-insert fantasy, and did not care about the actual story or the consequences of their pairing happening. Kishimoto may have went with the negative conclusions of the two pairing being loveless marriage where the kids are basically abused simply because of how poor the relationships are between their parents, but it was still a conclusion that one could get from how the manga was told up to that point.

SS: Sasuke has never consider Sakura anything special and was always more focus on revenge then "reviving the clan." Emotional bonding beyond the clan members especially after the massacre was incredibly hard for him to do or care about; look at how much effort Naruto had to go through for him to admit they're friends alone. So Sakura was never able to really get close to him and discover who he really was always in love of with his mysterious image more then who he really was.  At best if they bonded after the ending they could have been a decent couple (if we just ignore the other abusive things they do to each other before they got together); at worst you have two people that do not understand each other in anything other then the most superficial way. Also Sakura is a person that needs to know a person cares about her while Sasuke only expresses his feeling after a great amount of effort has gone in to convincing him he has any.

nH: Naruto was in love with Sakura for years. But even ignoring that he is a person they is very energetic and like being around any activity. If something not happening around him eventually their will be just because of him. Hinata put the most negative stereotypes of the traditional housewives to shame with her quite passive submissive attitude. They have never had a conversation that has lasted more then 5 minutes, and they barely ever interacted with each other over the years they had in-theory known each other, even after they married.

But again they didn't care, because it was all about their fantasy of them getting the "perfect woman" to show that they had beaten the friendzoning kitten that they had a crush on but wouldn't put out for them and the popular guy that had all the girls' attention in school. So now that most of the fanbase left, kishi is sick of the franchise and wants to leave, and the companies are just keeping it going because they think they can't go back and just have to weather the negativity till Boruto bounces the franchise back. This is what these spoiled entitled brats wanted but now they can't deal with the consequences.

What I find funny is how many Hinata fan boys are still kittening heck I saw this tag in my recomened vids from ForHinataworld which read WTF is happening in Naruto, but this is what NH fans wanted BS after BS after all and now they can't handle it, I just can't help but laugh Naruto is dying while other shows like Pokemon and DB super just keep getting better.

I can say for a fact in 10 years no one will remember Naruto for being all that good.

They wanted nH at all cost, and didn't care if the cost was the characters, the plot, the popularity, the likability, or everything of the franchise. Also long as they got nH they were happy. Now they got it by removing everything good about Naruto for it. Now they are complaining about their new palace they were so arrogant about is a dilapidated ruin?

#929515 Boruto The Next Generation: Chapter 8

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 29 December 2016 - 12:18 PM

It kills me that the one major plot thread left open by the manga's ending is completely ignored and the person who best illustrates it is relegated to a cartoon villain. The obvious question is what are the point of ninja in a word that seems not need them? Instead of exploring a deep question that has actually frustrated many a nation (i.e. a warriors returning home from the battlefield and their place in society when they return), we get cardboard cutout and cartoonish villains hell bent on wizzing all over the accomplishments of the previous series.

I get that this is the movie redone, but I just can't stand that the one guy who could have been a good antagonist it just cartoonish kitten design to give be the Deus ex Machina so Boruto can do stuff in a battle where he'd normally be outclassed.

I also thought Sasuke's speech, in flashback mode no less, was also Deus ex Machina. Might have been better to have that going in rather than a convenient twist....bleh.

The thing is the manga is not going forward with the question: "What will happened to the ninja (a caste of warriors) when genuine world peace is obtained?" Instead as shown by the first chapter; their plan is to retread the Naruto/Sasuke rivalry and another conflict over the evils of the ninja system.

#929344 Naruto the highs and lows of the series

Posted by Bail o' Lies on 27 December 2016 - 10:22 AM

Who doing the review? Is it a hinata fanboy?

4life; Hinata's fanbase largely exist primarily because of her coverage in the anime. If she was as shown in the anime as much as she was important to the story. Even people that watch Naruto religiously would forget about her by midway through the anime. Like people that only read the manga did constantly. But she was moe and had a large faction in the Naruto's anime team who supported her so, we are at where we are because of that.

Artwork: Compared to most shounen manga I have seen even the ones that fail,  Naruto artwork is fairly generic. There's a reason why they're so many fan artist that can mimic his art style perfectly. Even his replacement that pedophile's main problem is he was lazy and didn't practice enough before they started up the Boruto manga. When you look at the first chapter of the popular shounen manga kishi does tend one of the poorer showings (other then Boruto, that to be honest was one of the worst I've seen) with it being very messy and him not yet confront-able with drawing the characters, just look at Sakura at the beginning. Also he tended to stop improving his artwork at some point just started copying the anime designs and just refining it. He mention in an interview; that it was so that the anime team would have an easier time adapting his characters.

other. Remember since toonami got off prime time, and people decided it was Naruto's fault. It has never been popular to like Naruto since. People reference it (because most millennials at least know about it) and that's it. If they are fans of the series they kept in on the down low. Also because of the toxic nH fans that were completely obsessed with the pairings and ruined the reputation of the fanbase, and even soured a lot of fans opinion of Naruto.

Also most people overplay hinata's importance to the manga in the US fanbase because they sympathize with "the shy girl who just want the boy she has a crush on to be with her." Also add in the suicide/love confession as well as that generic speech after neji dies (which people again overplayed both), and that makes people think hinata has more importance to the plot then she really did. For the most part she is very unimportant to the plot at any point in the story; even when she is the mother of the main character of the sequel.

So no Naruto vs. Sasuke 2.0..................

THANK GOD!!!!

Remember the fight Naruto and Sasuke had on top of the roof of the hospital? Where Kakashi broke up the fight? Then let them both go off on their own while he had a talk with Jiraiya on why Sasuke was angry at Naruto (he has an inferiority/superiority complex where; he has to be the best and seeing Naruto catch up terrifies him, since that makes him feels like he is stagnating) and why Naruto agreed to the fight (he wants acknowledgment from Sasuke). Then ask Jiraiya to take care of Naruto (who didn't need a talk) while he took care of Sasuke. Where while he had a talk that seem to have some impact but sadly forgot that Sasuke would probably take revenge over bonds if given the choice.

Here All Might lets them fight it out while waiting till they were done. Then sat the boys down and explained to them what the problem between them is: Kaachan reveres strength over everything and didn't understand why a weakling like deku charges into situations he stands no chance in, so he fears Deku's spirit. While Deku admires kaachan strength and look up to him but kaachan has too thick a head to listen to him when he says it, also he still some what lack confidence in himself. All Might then tells them the answer to make them both get over their issue and become better heroes.

The best thing they could do is work together to fix out their flaws and make them both better people and heroes.

Because of that alone, All Might is a better teacher then Kakashi.
