I now have a blog. I'm awarding myself a premature Blog Award!

Stuff you probably don't know about me: I'm actually not a big fan of the whole Charlie Sheen meme. I picked my name on a whim, since I liked to read through past posts, and I couldn't use the search feature without having a account. If I knew I was going to spend so much time here, I probably would have picked a decidely less stupid name. Oh well, I've gotten used to being called Boom, and I'm too lazy to request a new name.

Also, I speak Spanish and a little Pig Latin

As you can tell, I decided to make a blog. I guess I realized I was starting to take over some other members' blogs with my random thoughts, or that I just have a bad tendency of writing LAP's where they're not necessary. Hopefully this will alleviate that somewhat.
Also, I finally started visiting the XAT H & E Chat last Friday, spurred on by a boring weekend without my roommates. I'll probably change my name occasionally, but I'll most likely be the guy with the name/av related to Bleach or Grimmjow. If you don't know who I am, I'm guessing this thread will help with that somewhat.

I guess I'm making this thing as a sort of outlet for my own ridiculousness, so that it doesn't show on any other thread. I might blog occasionally about my personal life, but I won't get too personal about it if I have problems. I'm sort of the opposite of most people, in that, if I have problems in real life, I prefer to keep them in real life. Exposing the internet to my problems has never really helped me in the past, so I don't plan to really vent here or anything. However, I will brag and/or celebrate about real life achievements. So, basically, the overall tone of this blog will be pretty upbeat, when it's not ridiculously random.

Finally, I'll be more than happy to have comments here, but don't feel obligated to say anything just to be polite. Seeing as how I generally keep to myself, I don't foresee this thread being as active as some of the others. As I mentioned, I'm making it as more of an outlet for my randomness, so I won't be dissapointed if I'm the only one posting upwards of 75% of the time.

*looks above* Well, I think that's pretty good for an OP. I'll be back, blog. I'll be baaaaaack....

Hey Boom.... Doesn't Kenpachi kinda.... Scare you? I swear, he frightens me.

But yeah, he is kind of creepy. His face gives off a 'skull vibe', even though the rest of his body is absolutely ripped. But I'd say his sheer bad-assery just overwhelms his creepy appearance. I remember cheering during his fight with Tousen (I hate that guy).

Anyways, I thought I'd post something ridiculous already.



If anyone hasn't seen this, it's basically a re-dub of the first Harry Potter movie done by internet comic Brad Neely (of Babycakes and Prof. Bros. semi-fame). It's pretty hilarious. This is the first chapter; if you like it, I'd highly recommend going to poster's channel and watching the rest, when you have ~2 hrs of free time for something like that. I've got the whole thing on my iPod.

Also, there's a little bit of swearing, so avoid it if you don't like that sort of thing.

EDIT: Found a better version of it. This one's a little quieter though.

Serious post: Boring day. It's the end of the month, so I have to get my rent check ready for February. I usually pay all my bills around this time, so it doesn't bug me later. So I'll be spending a pretty penny today.
Fortunately, though, I just noticed my state tax returns were deposited in my account this morning. Which is funny, since I only finished filing my returns on Saturday. I guess it pays to file everything early. Hopefully I get my federal returns back within the next few weeks, then I officially won't have to worry about anything tax-related till next year.

Well...better get back to work. Bye blog.

I don't really feel like triple-posting on the Skyward thread, so I might as well mention it here.

I just saw the scene where Zelda wakes up. Daww, that was nice. It would have been nicer if Groose wasn't there. Shaking Link around and hugging old women. Weirdo.
Of course, Ghirahim has to c***block Link again. But, ha ha ha, I laughed so hard at his comment towards Groose.

That's gotta be my favorite Ghirahim line so far.

Anyway's, I've gotten all the Goddess Cubes, and I finished the Gratitude Quest, so once I get the last piece of heart (I only need one more) and beat Lanayru's trials, I'll head to the final area. Dang, I might beat the game within the week at my pace.

Right now, I'm supposed to chase Ghirahim into the past, but I'm taking care of the remaining loose ends before I do that. There's one piece of heart out there that I NEED to find. And my Zelda pride won't let me look it up online, so it might be a while before I go through the Gate of Time again. Unless I give up, ha ha. How annoying would it be if there was a piece of heart in the final area?

I lost once on the Skyloft Silent Realm, but I didn't think it was that tough. I started redoing Silent Realms in Lanayru's challenge area, and for some reason I'm doing a lot worse on all of them than I did the first time around. Probably because I'm doing speed runs.
Anyways, I got a time of 2:46 on the Faron Silent Realm, and was totally expecting like a "Sacred Quiver" or "Sacred Bomb Bag". Nope. Stupid dragon just gives me a freaking Blue Bird Feather. I might attempt to get the special times on the rest of the Silent Realms, but I'm not too worried about completing them now. I'll just get a 'true' 100% completion on my 2nd playthrough, if I really care. Which I probably will; I remember actually completing that stupid Rollgoal game in Twilight Princess, just so I could say I completed everything.

Also, Bokoblin Horde Battle? Looks like the final stretch of the game is gonna be pretty fun.

Since Bleach is apparently starting its last arc next week, and Tite Kubo claims he plans to have several Arrancar characters return, I thought I should start making some posts to keep myself interested for the new arc. So here we go. Introducing....

~BOOM'S ARRANCAR OF THE DAY!~


Bleach OST 3 - Clavar la Espada *This song must be listened to while reading this post.*

Basically, I'll be picking an Arrancar character from Bleach (both Espada and Numeros), and writing some basic info on them. I'll be taking a lot of info off the Bleach Wiki, but I'll write a basic character description and synopsis from my own perspective. It might be a bit humorous, it might be boring, but I'll be be doing it either way. For those few people actually reading this thread, I'll be writing these posts towards the perspective of someone who has no knowledge of the series. So if you are a steady Bleach reader, you might find them entertaining. If you don't read Bleach, and have no intention of starting, you might them enlightening. However, if you want to read Bleach, but aren't caught up yet, I'd recommend just ignoring these posts, since there will be some plot spoilers.
Finally, when I say "Arrancar of the Day", I mean that will be the only Arrancar I will be writing about on that given day. I don't plan on doing this daily, since that would sort of turn this into a Bleach thread. I doubt I'll do more than a few a week.

Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez



Other names/titles: Grimmjow Jaggerjack (due to romanization problems), Sexta Espada, Espada #6, The/Panther King (self-given), Boom's favorite character, formerly Arrancar #12 (this wasn't confirmed in canon, but rather in the storyline for a video game Tite Kubo assisted with, so it's not entirely confirmed)

Zanpakutou: Pantera (Spanish for "Panther", Japanese kanji read as "Panther King"

Release Phrase: Grind

Aspect of death he represents: Destruction

Numeros under his command: Shawlong Kufang, Edrad Leones, Ylfordt Granz, Di Roy Rinker, Nakeem Grinda

Character Description: Relatively tall (very tall by Japanese standards) at 186 cm (6' 1"). Has light blue hair and eyes, wears standard Arrancar clothing, only he tends to keep it open to show off his hollow hole (which rests in the middle of his chest) and a six-pack (gotta keep the fangirls happy). He also leaves his collar popped. Despite this, he has been confirmed to not be a d-bag. His bone fragment (which all Arrancar tend to have) is a jawbone that rests on his right cheek. He also has his Espada tattoo (6) on the right side of his back.
When he releases Pantera, he gains silver/white armor that covers his whole body, a crown-like bone on his head, and a long cat tail. His blue hair also grows out, down to his feet.

Personality: The aspect of death he represents is destruction, and it shows. When first introduced, he only seems to care about killing and mayhem. He doesn't even seem affected by the loss of his underlings. However, he has also been shown to have a more honorable side, as seen when he saves Orihime from potential death or torture, claiming to be indebted to her for helping him regain his position in the Espada. He also orders Orihime to heal the wounds she received during her painful experience, claiming not to be interested in "carting around girls with smashed-up faces". Even during his honorable moments, though, he is still shown to have very violent tendencies. He also is a very brash character, never using Japanese honorifics, with the exception of Aizen-sama (which he even drops when Aizen isn't around).

It's hard to be brief with Grimmjow. He's one of the more important Arrancar characters.

Grimmjow is first introduced when his fellow Espada Ulqiorra and Yammy return to Hueco Mundo, after having clashed with series protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki. After Ulquiorra reports his findings to Sousuke Aizen (the main antagonist, and commander of the Arrancar Army), Grimmjow starts getting mad, claiming Ulqiorra was dumb for not killing Ichigo. Ulqiorra's like, "Whatever".
Later that night, Grimmjow takes his fraccion (Arrancar that work directly under the Espada, the strongest members of the Arrancar army) and tells them to kill anyone with spiritual power/awareness. After a big fight, all of Grimmjow's underlings die at the hands of Ichigo's friends, but Grimmjow does some serious damage to Ichigo and his friend Rukia (nearly kills the latter). After ripping Ichigo a new one, Ichigo pulls out some crazy resolve and blasts Grimmjow with his sword. Not expecting to receive a serious injury from a human, Grimmjow takes a serious wound to the chest. Grimmjow is delighted by the challenge, and prepares to get serious.

However, right then this total prick named Kaname Tousen, who serves as another commander of Aizen's Arrancar Army, appears. This guy sucks. He orders Grimmjow to return, which he reluctantly complies too. Grimmjow reports to Aizen, who doesn't seem to care too much, but Tousen gets pissy and cuts Grimmjow's arm off. He gives some dumb lecture about justice or something. Grimmjow attempts to fight back, but then Aizen does care and tells him to stand down. Grimmjow walks away in a bad mood. With good reason, of course.

The next time we see Grimmjow is a few months later, when Aizen is preparing some secret mission for Ulquiorra. Grimmjow and a few others, including the Arrancar who replaced him in the Espada after losing his arm, are to attack Ichigo's hometown, to keep everyone distracted from Ulquiorra's mission. Grimmjow leaves to fight Ichigo again. Ichigo uses a new power up, and starts owning Grimmjow. Then the power-up dissappears, and Grimmjow starts owning Ichigo. Rukia appears to help, but doesn't do too much. Then Ichigo's friend (sort of) Shinji appears and does do much! Grimmjow prepares to get serious, when suddenly Ulqiorra appears and tells him to stop and return to Aizen's base in Hueco Mundo. This seems to happen to Grimmjow a lot.

When they get back, it is revealed that Ulquiorra's secret plan was kidnapping Ichigo's friend Orihime, who has some ridiculously awesome powers that Aizen claims to be interested in. In order to showcase these powers, Aizen orders Orihime to heal Grimmjow's missing arm. All the other bad guys are like, "Pfft, there's no way she can heal a missing arm. I mean...it's freakin missing!" Then, to everyone's surprise, Grimmjow's arm returns! What? Grimmjow then orders Orihime to heal a spot on his back as well. Orihime heals the spot, revealing the "6" tattoo he had removed after leaving the Espada. He instantly kills the Arrancar who took his spot, regaining his proper place in the Espada.

He makes a few random appearances here and there after that, but his real re-entry into the plot is while Orihime is being beaten up by Loly and Menoly, two teenage-looking female Arrancar. They're jealous of her or something. Grimmjow blows a hole in the wall, walks in like a BAMF, destroys one of the girls with and energy blast, and brutally maims the other. He tells Orihime he saved in her in thanks for healing his arm, and that she can no longer refuse his next request, which is to revive Ichigo, who had recently fallen while fighting Ulquiorra. He orders her to heal her wounds, not wanting to take a girl with a broken face with him. Whoa, Grimmjow! Looks like someone's not as evil as he pretends to be! Wink, wink, Bleach fans...wink, wink.

Anyway, he then takes Orihime to Ichigo, in order to heal him. Grimmjow sees Ichigo as his "prey" and is pretty passionate over getting a fight with him that isn't interrupted for once. All of a sudden, INTERRUPTION! Ulqiuorra appears, looking as pissed as he's ever looked (which admittedly isn't that pissed). They talk a little about stuff, and then start fighting. Grimmjow, not wanting an extented fight with someone who technically outranks him, uses a special move to seal Ulqiorra away for a few hours. Ichigo, now revived, orders Orihime to heal Grimmjow's wound as well, so they can have a fight on equal grounds. Hmm, it looks like Ichigo reciprocates Grimmjow's rivalry!

As you can expect, an epic fight happens! BANG! KAPOW! Ichigo uses his power-up again, and Grimmjow releases his zanpakutou, giving them both more powers. Grimmjow looks like he's about to kill Ichigo, when, all of a sudden, Orihime cries and begs Ichigo not to die. It's sort of a nice scene, if you ship Ichi/Hime. Ichigo suddenly finds the resolve to win (this happens a lot in Bleach), and cuts Grimmjow across the chest. Grimmjow, enraged, uses his best move, Desgarron (Spanish for Tear, Japanese for Panther King's Claw) against Ichigo. Ichigo gives a cool speech and cuts through Grimmjow's move, winning the fight. Hurray for Ichigo fans. *grumble grumble*

Grimmjow, defeated, starts to fall through the air. Ichigo grabs his arm, and brings him to the surface (they were flying btw). Ichigo gets ready to take Orihime away, only to see Grimmjow standing upright again, ready to continue the fight. Ichigo grabs Grimmjow's arm, telling him the fight is over, but Grimmjow refuses to listen. Suddenly, he gets totally blind-sided by this total prick Nnoitra, Grimmjow's fellow Espada. A lot of bad guys really suck in Bleach. Nnoitra prepares to finish Grimmjow off, but Ichigo jumps in the way, defending him.

Grimmjow has not been seen since, but has recently been confirmed to be alive in a recent interview. Supposedly, he will make an appearance in the next arc of the manga. Hurray!

Other notes: Grimmjow was named after a British architect named Nicholas Grimshaw. His official theme song (given by Tite Kubo) is "Bomb LA (A Bombs)" by [And Just Constantly Rotating].
He is also a very popular character, ranking 4th in the most recent character poll, higher than any other Arrancar character. His fight with Ichigo tied for 3rd place in the Bleach bout poll, and his sword, Pantera, ranked 9th in the Zanpakutou poll.

Woo, that was longer than I thought it'd be. I doubt I'll be writing as much for most of these posts, buuuut Grimmjow is my favorite character, so I think it's a little warranted here.

Boom, you are awesome XD Yeah, I think the arrancar tracks are the best ones in that OST. Just a tiny nitpick, Grimmys hollow hole is located more so in his stomach than his chest. I LOL'd when you called Tousen a prick XDDD
