But in all seriousness I think the Demon Lords would be an even better story conflict than the Dark Masters

No doubt it. There is a theory that Deamon and group(SkullSatamon,Ladydevimon,MarineDevimon Dagomon that was in the drak Ocean) was in Digimon 02 wanted what was inside of Ken to evolve to the  Demon Lords. I believe this video you saw it already but here talk about what really they wanted.

About Digimon Links I have not played it. In Japan was release two years ago, but the demand of the fans they made the game global release and after that the game was download a lot times record. The only thing I know is that the battles are similars that the Digimon CS.

 

Now because Digimon Links Digimon is getting a new mobile game Digimon Arise.

Let's say that the girl spend a lot in her room and she needs to go out. Another reason she have a kind of sickness that I won't spoil because important to the story XD.

 

About the game I would recommend you get it I would but I suck in get app games, so the console is for me. Other thing is new game of Digimon is coming soon for the phone too, but it will be in Japan first.

I was definitely hoping for and expecting VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon given the mentioning of Yggdrasil and bringing in more of the Royal Knights given destroying Yggdrasil in the event that it goes out of control is what they were literally made to do. I was also hoping that, with more Royal Knights, we'd get more of the Seven Great Demon Lords while bringing back Daemon.

Sadly, the latter half of tri has just been a mess and rather than fix a number of plotholes made by Digimon Adventure 02, it just made more while also messing up other things, like reducing the Digimon Sovereigns to merely partners of a previous group of Chosen Children (never mentioned by Qinglongmon / Azulongmon) and thus destroying their mysticism, and also greatly dumbing them down given, with how strong Qinglongmon showed himself to be while still largely sealed by the Control Spires (effortlessly halting BlackWarGreymon), it only makes one wonder how they could lose to the Dark Masters when WarGreymon could one-shot two of them and MetalGarurumon one-shotting Pinnochimon / Puppetmon, leaving only Piedmon giving them any true difficulty overall. Even Apocalymon, the one who spawned them to begin with, was made to look like a joke once the group managed to recover and regroup from his initial attacks.

Many people even were waiting for Omegamon Alter -S. As you said Digimon had many interesting plot hole that could be fill, many fans had many theories. Demon Lords, Ryo Akiyama even the biggest price we didn't get ZeedMilleniumon. Does really Toei think they were to powerful to be destroy? why not fill those plots they were good concepts. In the fandom believes that Alphamon, Jessmon or Omegamon are not the RK in Tri that they are only Holy Knights in general why not call them RK. Because Cyber Sleuth? Why do not use these good concepts  .

Im curious do you guys compelety fault the original series director hiroyuki kakudou for being incompetent with the way things were handled in 02? Or do you guys think its excutive meddling fault in 02? 

 

From what i heard kakudou didnt comunicate with his writers or staff that much and didn't tell about his writings plan all that much. Which lead to botching up his preferred ship. And since 02 had one of the head writer leaving the show from the 01 series because he didnt want a sequel to 01. They had new writers for 02 that had difffrent writing styles and clashed a lot when thats happening why couldn't kakudou try to put a stop to the argument and told the writers what he mainly wanted and told then to write it correctly? I mean he is the main director....

Rumors and Rumors, but nothing assure. Konoka said tha he would like to do a sequel in Anime , though Toei said nothing about it.

 

 

For now the only canon sequel are the CD Dramas.
