Does Naruto care about anyone?

Looks like Naruto have been keeping Mitsuki true identity and Orochimaru's hideout secret from everyone. Well at least he still care more about villain more than his own brat and sexy wife.

See, if Sasuke had gone rogue and married Karin, had Sarada with her and then Sarada was the one who's identity he had to keep secret, then that would have been a lot more impactful.

Re reading the series i don't think naruto actually cared for people he is pretty self absored and only cared about getting acknowledgement .If he truly cared about his people dont you think he would have start to question about what the toxic ninja system? and what it does to kids when they grow up And the crap that sasuke went though when he was in konoha?

 

Not only that but i don't think naruto actually loved and truly cared for sakura that much if he did he would have helped her get over her abusive crush on sasuke. Not only that naruto would have thought about keeping sakura safe after he went 4 tails and almost hurting sakura. He would have thought about trying to find ways to control the nine tails power right after 4 tails incident instead the next arc has naruto obessing over his riviarly over his crappy friend. 

 

If you really think about it naruto really is phony excuse of a what a true hero should be. Naruto really is a selfish moron.

I'm sorry, but Onoki and those two advisers from Tsunade's days need to die. Oonoki just looked pathetic at 700, it made me think of seeing really old animals that veterinarians would tell their owners to put down.

 

Also, weren't Homura and Koharu in their mid-80s during early Shippuden? They should be in a retirement home with nurses changing their adult diapers (or better yet...death). Why can't Naruto just hire new advisers? They don't even look like they want to be there. Shikamaru and...uh, actually, I can't think of anyone else given the context of this story...but Shikamaru SHOULD qualify for a council position, so why not take it?

 

You know it's bad when one of the other characters actually points out how stupid another was being. Not only did Naruto accept the son of a mass murderer into his village...he CHOSE to not tell anyone about it. If the ninja system had grounds for impeachment, I'm sure they could make a good case out of this. Some of the pro-enders have defended Mitsuki's presence about the series preaching forgiveness, and how Mitsuki is not his father. And they address this problematic plot point by making it even more problematic. As Bail'O Lies said, SP is trying to silence the haters, but there is no way they could do that without major retcons to Orochimaru/bad writing. The fact that the manga doesn't touch on this is telling. We criticize it for NH; SP makes Hinata like Sakura, therefore admitting NS was a better pairing. We complain about Sakura's mistreatment, they give her some decent fight scenes against Shin, therefore undermining their goddess and making SS and their treatment of Sakura prior even more disgusting. Boruto's boring? Let's make him more of a jerk, cause jackasses=GREAT CHARACTERS! Kids are carbon copies of their parents? Okay, that one they haven't addressed. Changing Sarada's outfit? Probably the only good idea they've had.

 

Hm, Tsunade's now flat? OMG They screwed up the only consistent fanservice character! How!? Those big boobs were her defining (physical) characteristic! Keep these animators away from the likes of Dead or Alive or Highschool DXD, cause there will be blood!

 

Wait, I know...Hinata is absorbing the boobs of every woman in Konoha into her own! It's a conspiracy!

It's like Kishi said a while ago, there was never as much thought put into Naruto's motivations because he was written as the standard shonen lead. Instead, all of that thinking went into giving the antagonists reasons why they were doing what they were doing. Naruto was written to be a hero at face value, but because the core is so underdeveloped his character collapses like a narrative black hole. SP has long since recognized the problems fans have had, and are doing their best to duct-tape it but it's no good if the foundation is rotten as hell.

My thoughts about this episode..

The part with Mitsuki’s home seems like a weird sort of Rei Ayanami reference.

The people Boruto and Sadara are listening in on aren’t just some small town city council having a meeting about imposing $32 fines for leaving dog turds in Senju Park.

They are essentially a secret intelligence service HQ. They’re discussing the sensitive details of covert investigations into terrorism. Lots of people could die if there was an information leak.

Two children can easily just spy on their meetings by putting their ears to the window wall.

I mean for kitten sake how incompetent is Naruto?.. I’m starting to think that Konoha would have been a LOT better off if Danzo had become hokage.   

This episode makes me like Tsunade more.. since she still seems to remember that Orochimaru was  kittening insane and killed hundreds if not thousands of people. He tried to destroy the village. He murdered the third Hokage. He tried to murder Tsunade. He tried to kill Naruto. He performed horrific human experiments (just one of these experiments resulted in the deaths of 59 children), created abominations and committed countless other atrocities.  Actually it seems like he has continued doing this messed up stuff ever since then.. with Naruto’s approval.  

I’m surprised Konohamaru didn’t explode at Naruto over the secret about Mitsuki’s origins.. Talk about character derailment. I guess serving under Naruto has crushed his spirit.

Boruto really is starting to take after his old man.. talking down to Sarada like that at the river.

Naturally when they decide to leave the village its Sarada following Boruto’s lead.. the girls always play second fiddle in Naruto.

I wanted to punch narutos kittening face in when he started siding with orochimaru in front of tsunade. I saw that one clip and just shut it off. Tsunade probably regrets saving naruto from orochimaru back in part 1.

Siding with one of your worst enemies over a woman whom you considered your pseudo-mom is the type of reprehensible garbage I've come to expect from Drunkato. This is just one of the several reasons why Asta and Izuku shouldn't be compared to Naruto after what he's become.

Ever since he was forced into this marriage with her he has turned bland and monotonous.. almost like a robot. Naruto doesn't care about anyone anymore. He has dissociated with everyone, even sasuke. Hes just an empty husk now, a shadow of his former self and hinata has single handedly sucked the life and happiness out of him as the years went on and nothing can convince me otherwise.

... I meant to say Sakura, but Orochimaru would have been a noted improvement. Orochimaru wouldn't have sucked the soul out of his body as much as Hinata did, even though he has the ability to literally do that.

Even though he clearly loved Sakura, she was also his best friend. (Which would have made them getting together even sweeter). Sasuke might have been his rival, but I've seen people say he was Naruto's best friend when he wasn't. AT ALL.

It's the Hinata-principle. They're not in love with the character as she is intended, they were in love with the character they wanted her to be. They wanted her to be the "fat acceptance character," and were gleefully willing to ignore all the evidence that she's supposed to be the butt of a joke. Now their illusion has come crashing down, and they're upset over what she actually is.

 

Same thing as people wanting Shinji Ikari to get in the damn robot and kick ass, ignoring that piloting that beautiful behemoth won't magically make his life better.

 

I agree. I’ve always found that “just get in the damn robot” reaction to be a particularly vapid thought terminating cliché.

It’s places completely unrealistic expectations on a child, it fails to accept the nature of depression, it’s emotionally dishonest, and it completely misunderstands the intentions and underlying sentiment of the original show.

 

I think the phenomenon you are talking about could be thought of like "projecting onto the ink blots". Its sad when the expectations of the fans starts to effect a story too much. I think writers kind of need to have a sense of artistic integrity. Otherwise their work just devolves into wish-fulfillment, bad fanfiction,or meaningless commercial products.

I'm beyond pissed off with Toonami. So I found the updated schedule for the 29th. They had the nerve to not only move Shippuden's time slot right after My Hero Academia around 10 pm but the trash is coming right after it. And they moved Dragon Ball Super to a later slot, around 11pm while Dragon Ball Kai starts it off at 9pm. They are purposely want Boruto to succeed in ratings.
