Funny, I just read an article about how well they're facing the current disaster and apparently it has something to do with "Ganbare". The article also spoke about how Japanese businessmen will always seek perfection for the customers. And this just pretty much proves how bad Pierrot is. They're a shame to Japanese animation studios and to the Japanese as well.

I wouldn't know how the disaster affected Pierrot, but in the end, whether the company is Japanese or American, it's STILL A BUSINESS. Their goal is not to turn out quality products, but TO MAKE MONEY. Quality is subjective, and more often than not you'll see good quality products not sell well, wheras many mediocore or even bad products often do quite well. Naruto Shippuden has become an example of a series that relies more on its brand name than on qualities like story-telling, animation, acting and music, and so far it seems to be working just fine for them. Why in the world would they up the production values/hire better writers and animators and reduce profits as a result? Some businesses do take special care of their craft, but as a general rule, they will stick to a model that they will feel make them the most money. On top of that, Japanese companies are extremely conservative when it comes to their business models. Once they do something that's making them a lot of money, they stick to it.

While I am disappointed in the adaptation of Naruto thus far, from a business perspective I can't blame them for doing what they do. It seems their customers love Naruto no matter what, so of course they would take the easy way out.

ya know given whats coming up in the anime there is another couple to consider in this. Sasuke and Karin. now being an unabashed SasuKarin fan ive always maintained their relationship and wont rehash arguments ive made in other threads here.

Suffice it to say that considering what Sauske does to her and the itneractions she has with sakura and sasuke there is a possibility that the opening may include her and sasuke.

I'm unabashedly not for them, but I see your point XD Except, I'd think it would be one of those sad frames, more about letting love go (or realizing he's not good for you, just sayin') rather than something celebrating the pairing. I'd look more forward to Sakura and Karin in a scene together rather than Sasuke and Karin. Those two are the ones who, I think, had that moment, where...

manga spoilers --Click here to view--
They cried and Karin was like "you're the enemy, I'm not supposed to feel sorry for you" or whatever. I didn't even like Karin that much and yet, that was the moment that made me go from generally disliking her to realizing she can actually be a decent character. Though, anyone wins my respect if they can let go of someone like Sasuke who's bad for them. Sakura could learn something from Karin--maybe she will... Maybe she has. Who knows.

Its very possible BF I agree. It very well may be a combination of both with the primary focus of the animation being on Sakura and Karin with flashes of Naruto and Sasuke in the background so to speak.

What's odd for me is just how surprisingly optimistic I am about the whole thing. I just feel so certain and sure about Narsaku. Don't ask me to give you reasons other than that I just have this great gut feeling. However, I would like to remind everyone that although Pein fights animations were not the greatest, there were several interesting key moments that were. All of which were done by the same directors. I am sure everyone remembers how great Sakuras call for Naruto was right before the pein fight and Sakuras hug right afterwards. Judging by the current animation, this scene is going to be far better! Let's go Pierrot! I believe! Lol

About the OP, I have the feeling it's going to be something with a mirror/glass or something like that so they can't reach eachother.

But I can also be very wrong. sleep.gif

I don't think it was really pointed at Naruto. It was more... showing the scene that comes up later in the manga. It's showing her getting ready to do what she feels is right.

Manga Spoiler --Click here to view--
Sakura eventually goes after Sasuke and she tries to use a poisoned kunai to kill Sasuke.

^so I think that's what that last scene is depicting otherwise it could signify the fact that
Manga spoiler part 2 --Click here to view--
she accidentally poisons Naruto with the kunai ^^;;;

Did anyone of you guys notice that there is some similarity between the new OP and the NARUTO x Uniqlo OVA? I mean, take a look at that scene in the new OP, when Sasuke is using Susanoo, and then compare it with after-battle Sasuke in the OVA (same pose, same grin).
