Has anyone commented on the similarities between the Kushina hug panel and the Sakura hug panel from 450? I made a quick pic...

i'm sure everyone's noticed as well but sakura dresses really similarly to kushina. and i'm talking about the way sakura's been dressing lately in the manga or in konoha at least. her girl clothes i guess you could call them, not her infamous clothes. anyhow they closely resemble kushina's clothes (we also haven't seen kushina's clothes during the war; perhaps similar to sakura's? we may get a look next chapter). but it's just another one of the many clues in kishi's repertoire.

I think it might be that Kushina might have just her chakra sealed in side of him, and she might be suffering from Chakra depletion, and in a coma other than that I have no clue we might learn that in the next chapter.

How are her old feelings for Sasuke related to her feelings for Naruto? Wouldn't that mean that the past would be holding her back from pursuing a relationship with Naruto? What if that illusionary foundation has already bean destroyed a long time ago and already bean replaced by the solid foundation of Naruto a long time ago? It can't take that long right? Also, if the bench scene is so important and significant to her, then why wasn't it included in the group of flashbacks that she had of Sasuke before she failed to kill Sasuke? Like I said earlier, I refuse to believe that Sakura is stuck in the past. I believe that she moved on from her crush on Sasuke a long time ago before part 2 started and it wouldn't make sense if the Sasuke illusion Naruto disguised himself as still had significance when that illusion would've already bean dead by now.

They arent related to them at all. there a separate issue. but yes the old feelings for Sasuke are holding her back. thye have been for a long while.

As to why they didnt show up in her flashbacks Im not certain, part of it may be because she was focusing on the feelings that grew from that moment as opposed to the beginning of it all. she brought the bench scene up when he left and he said he didnt remeber it So she may have dismissed it for now.

As to being stuck in the past she isnt totally, shes moving forward, albeit slowly thanks to naruto. But its a slow process. She has moved on from her crush ((As ive said before for the umpteenth time))

but that illsuion still holds power for her. moments of that nature that deal with themes prevalent in the manga are always going to hold importance.

HELL Kushina her self says that the compliemnt Minato gave her on her hair had a signifigant effect.

and were expected to beleive that a moment when ""Sasuke"" not only complimented her worst feature, but did so in a way that she day dreamed holds no more signifigance for her???????????????????

No I believe she has moved on yes but you dont forget a moment like that. thats why its gonna be brought up again. Kushinas allreayd laid the foundation for it. Now its up to Naruto to finish the moment.

That feels so deep catsi! wow.png I agree with you. The bench scene was very important to Sakura - probably one of the most powerful moments holding her back on her feelings, if it were to be addressed again, which I'm nearly positive, that would leaving nothing left to hold Sakura onto that crush with Sasuke; there weren't really that many moments between them but the bench scene was the most important because it was just like Sakura dreamed it would be, and Naruto just happened to know exactly how to compliment her. Isn't that funny? The significance that Naruto just happen to know exactly how to compliment her - nearly perfect timing too; and it was on her "worst" feature. Its almost... like there meant for each other from the start...

Yeah can't wait for the bench scene to be brought up again it needs to be resolve because it had a strong effect in Sakura's life. Since she's a main character it has to be resolve unlike a certain someone who fans are still expecting for Kishi to give her confession some resolve with the boy she likes. kruemelmonsteryn0.gif

Actually Kushina isnt taller than Naruto- see how sharply his right shoulder goes up when he hugs Kushina, he's kind of bent over when he hugs her. I'll have to look at the long shot panel where they are standing facing each other, but I think Naruto was either the same height or slightly taller than his mom. smile.gif

laugh.gif Oh yeah, I commented on that. I'm not good with the photo thing but can you compare the smile from Kushina on the next page of this chapter with the panel on page 15 of 469? I saw something there too. You don't have to post it I just want to know if you saw the same sort of comparison between the two.

Yeah, I agree, Insurrection. Their smiles in those two are similar. biggrin.gif

I do believe that the bench scene needs to be resolved for the sake of Naruto and Sakura getting together, but I don't believe that the illusion still holds power over her or that her old feelings for Sasuke are holding her back. Just because you don't forget a moment in the past like the bench scene doesn't necessarily mean it can hold you back from starting a relationship with someone who actually cares about you like Naruto cares for Sakura. Back then, it seemed like it was nothing more than a crush. Not to mention that the events in the bench scene only happened one time out of the many and numerous times Sasuke called her useless or annoying. By the way, after Naruto disguised as Sasuke left to take a dump, the real Sasuke shows up and what does he do? Call her annoying, thats what he does. That probably destroyed the illusion the moment he said those words which caused Sakura to desperately try to get the illusion of the happy sunshine Sasuke who complemented her forehead back and most likely gave up near the end of part 1 or during the time skip realizing that he's just not in to her in that way. What I'm trying to say is that I just don't think that she would let something like that hold her back in any way shape or form from starting a relationship with Naruto. I just don't. I think she already moved on from her crush on Sasuke and is not holding her back. I think she's just waiting for Naruto to make his move. But you can think what you think as can I because we have a right to are opinions and we can both agree to disagree. Besides we should give the latest chapter prediction topic some spotlight, right? laugh.gif
