Sadly but true Kishimoto kill all the romance with this set up  and I just can't see NS moment after this  its gonna be all Sakura crying for T7  

Yep, she won't prioritize. Not in that kind of situation. Kishimoto may give us some NS hint... if we're lucky. But I wouldn't expect much.

 

 

Or you can see it as Sasuke (the biggest NS cockblock) being officially out of the picture.

Yep. Even narusasu lost its appeal. Now it's all about brotherly love. SS is truly burried too. NS? In limbo (constant or temporary), I assume. Team 7 prevails.

The fight's officially concluded, and Sasuke views Team 7 as Family. All that's left now is the remaining loose ends.

 

 

 

Side note: Um correct me if I'm wrong, but is next week's chapter for 699 39 pages, and 700 44 pages?

With Sasuke back to his senses, Naruto should finally be okay to be hokage at anytime and otherwise confess to Sakura! He fulfilled that promise.

Okay, so finally got to read this chapter.

And....well, it's talking. The chapter is okay. Not great, but not bad either. It is an expected chapter so I am not faulting it for that. The logic in the chapter...I am not even going to judge it because the logic of this manga entirely is all over the place so why should things change now? At least Kishi is consistent.

They both lost their arms....ouch. I wonder how Naruto gets his back and why Sasuke doesn't have his or it looks like he doesn't have it. Then again many character lost arms and got them back so no biggie. So now they really are blood brothers cause they bled together. I am also glad that Naruto admits "I don't really have a clear answer for you. It was just something I had to do." For some reason, this makes me accept the Naruto and Sasuke broship easier cause the characters lampshade that it is ridiculous and Naruto even admits it too, kind of, and explains he is not sure why just that he does.

Sasuke sees team 7 like family? Then SS truly is platonic now. That was the only outcome that could have happened for SS and that's it. So now just have to worry about NH.

I am still mad that the bench scene has still not made an appearance, but we have one week left so I HOPE it shows up there even if for a moment. I will be so mad if it hasn't shown up at all.

Maybe after Naruto comes out of the hospital or something, he and Sakura take a walk to the bench (if it wasn't destroyed during the Pein Arc) and that's where he confesses and recounts why that place is so special to him or something :)

So the hero doesn't get to beat his rival in this manga. It looks to be a tie and Naruto could only win the emotional battle. Kishimoto couldn't bring himself to make his main character beat his pet character. He had no problem in making Sasuke beat Naruto in part 1 but Naruto cannot get the same   

 

I was expecting something like this ever since " I want to beat you but not the present you" words from Naruto. 

But that doesn't lessen my disappointment. 

 

One more thing- Why give Naruto and Sasuke power through the sun and moon symbols only to later take it away in the

most brutal way imaginable? Their arms had to be sacrificed..?! And worse, something that drastic just to stuff more NaruSasu down our throats..?!   

 

I can completely understand what you are feeling.

 

So in the end even though kishi made it 1-1 for Naruo vs Sasuke,

what it was was Sasuke-1 Naruto-0, because unlike part 1, both are consious.

 

Extremely heartbreaking to see Naruto not able to defeat Sasuke.

 

Chapter was awesome but in the end it's just sad that Naruto didn't win.

 

BTW is their any jutsu to grow back someone's body parts, I think only Naruto could have done it with his sun-symbol hand but now that's gone too.

One more week to go...next release is probably the end resolution chapter and the epilogue. Hopefully with Naruto as Hokage...and the movie is just the things that happen in between.

No, it really isn't. Especially with this chapter, the timeline and the current situation. I'm confident we'll get NS one way or another.

I don't want to expect too much from Kishimoto... this chapter made me realize that he is too tired to keep playing ninja. NS is the most probable pairing... at this point, so it may be realized, but it's much easier to forget it or get off with some hint.

Like I said Kishimoto never fails to cockblock a potential NS scene/moment  while emphasizing Sakura's feelings for Sasuke  over the moon   so at this point how do you make NS canon to be convincing  and shown her feelings for Naruto stronger  and that she doesn't love Sasuke anymore ?  Honestly I see no way for it  and any romance will be asspulled in here if we have one for that matter   Bromance and T7 "family bond" take all the glory  .

 

Oh and Sasuce if you saw T7 as a family why were you willing to let them die without even flinching bc you love them so much right  the logic in here is just ugh

Not that I would be surprised to see it just because that is how Kishimoto is as a writer, but it's really not the type of thing that's just going to pop up. Sasuke doesn't known about it, Sakura doesn't know it wasn't Sasuke, and only Naruto knows. It's not been shown to stick with him and I don't see him just saying "Hey, by the way...."

It wouldn't be that hard to bring up and I wouldn't be surprised to see, but I would be equally unsurprised for Kishimoto not to address it.
