Samui and her brother Atsui got trapped in the container that was for Madara (or was it the Gold/Silver brothers that somehow become relevant by being in Kurama's stomach?) After the war, they were released. No mentioned of them whatsoever.
 
 

 
Hey, hey, hey... I hope you're not getting any of my ideas for her.

Why am I not surprised we never see them after getting release its like anyone but Naruto and Sasuke matter makes me wonder why there are other characters since 90% of them don't matter.

Oh, I know the whole Karui beating Naruto to a damn pulp was very stupid and horrendous. That one was one of Masashi's stupid idea of creating drama. Some of us (and LadyGT who drew a little comic about this) wished that when Sakura found out what had happened and met Karui in the Land of Iron, she punched her square in the face.

I think I read that a long time ago. Here, I'll rewrite the scene so that the characters act like human beings:

 

Karui punches Naruto and you can then have a panel that establishes that he doesn't even try to dodge. Then Omoi pulls her off of him and you can also have Sai jump in to defend him (which it was also absolutely stupid that he allowed that to happen for as long as he did to begin with.) And then Naruto can have a visible bruise on his face.

 

There. You have a similar effect without making Naruto and ESPECIALLY Karui look insane/ridiculous. This is something you have to consider as a writer. If you CAN create more drama/comedy/whatever effect you want but you have to damage or even DESTROY a character or characters to do so, it's usually NOT WORTH IT. You need to be cautious about this instead of being BLINDED by the potential impact something might have. Because in the end, you still have to use those characters.

 

And this was FAR from the only time Kishi committed this blunder. In fact, many of the problems with the series may be attributable to this myopic approach.

I think what was dumber was that Naruto, through broken teeth and bruised swollen face, said "Does this make it even now?" No, Naruto, it doesn't "make it equan." Sasuke attacked and potentially killed several people and attempted to kill the leader. You remember the Hyuga treaty? Something similar happens there and the only way the Hyuga felt would make it even was to "sacrifice one of their own" and that wasn't even as bad as what Sasuke did.

Naruto...you are so Sasuke-sexual that your dumbass thinks getting your ass beat to near death makes amends for multiple deaths and an attempted terrorist attack?

That is what pisses me most about Naruto....he is SOOOOOOOO idealistic that he refuses....no...let's go back to something.

Naruto was SAID to be a person who can connect to people with emotions. He was SAID to be this great person who can connect with people cause he also knew what it was like, but this dude does not understand anything even back then. Naruto....SASUKE WAS AN EVIL MAN. He did horrible things in the name of power and revenge.

I'm sorry, but lesser have been given harsher punishments than what Sasuke got. In fact, Sasuke got REWARDED despite it all. Yes, some characters did worse than Sasuke, but they KNEW this made them villains. They owned up to it. Hell Deidara said "I just want to make beautiful art."

Naruto....the self-made hypocrite.

God, the more I read the series the worse it gets for me now...

Look at a scene like this and tell me if Naruto really does "inspire" people to be better. Oh, and Vash's situation is not much different from Naruto's; seen as a monster, just wanted to make friends, tries to prevent killing, has a brother he loves, but also wanted to stop...oh and Knives was actually logical, had a point, and was actually traumatized by the events that unfolded to the point that even Knives had a real redemption in the end.

Knives cared for Vash so much that even when Vash sacrificed himself to save the planet, Knives used his life to bring Vash back to life because Vash actually got him to change his mind.

It also shows how poor a sensei Jiraiya was to Naruto. He tries once to get Naruto to not try to chase down Sasuke, then gives up when Naruto refuses. He should have tried countless times to get Naruto to see the reality of the world. Not to say Naruto can't have ideals, but even Hashirama and Minato were realistic in their ideals about peace and such.

Goku is more mature than Naruto at this point and I think Goku ultimately is an idiot.

Gives no effs when Sasuke is involved and no matter who Sasuke kills and what damage he does to other peoples lives Naruto will always bends his back over for him and make excuses as to why his hot yaoi BFF should be pardoned and forgiven. He also has no kittens to give on how someone screw others over, if said someone shares a dream of being Hokage with him, being Obito, who TOTALLY coincidentally I am sure is also an Uchiha. This man is the reason Naruto ended up an orphan, had many MANY people killed in the war and manipulated others by destroying their happiness to make them his tools (for A SINGLE GIRL, may I add), but just because he wanted to become Hokage too, Naruto calls him "The coolest guy". All of his friends, his parental figures, his village etc. etc. were about to be destroyed by these two megalomaniacs and he excuses them. So Naruto does not actually connect with people and shows them compassion, he does those things with international terrorists and criminals or worse if he finds them to be kindred spirits. Kitten everyone else. BELIEVE IT!!!!!   

 

Naruto says you have to work hard to become Hokage in Chapter 2. Doesn't train that hard, (harder than some others seen at least i.e. Neji or Lee), doesn't study, (academically or politically) and was basically handed the Hokage's seat Because Kakashi got bored of it.

 

Naruto says destiny and your birth doesn't define you. Was born to the Fourth Hokage (the world's Fastest Ninja) and a distant relative of the Senju clan, had the one of the Tailed Beasts a.k.a. a living nuke sealed inside of him at birth thereby giving him chakra reserves that are off the charts, and to top it all off is a reincarnation of  one of the Sage of Six Path's sons. I swear, Neji must be laughing from beyond the grave and saying "I told you so, I told you so!!!!" *dancing*

I agree James Naruto getting beat by kauri and for Sasuke I'm sorry no there's nothing obligating him to save Sasuke like you pointed out in the podcast what bond do Naruto and Sasuke have.
Also sora in kingdom Hearts is a better Naruto and he succeeded in saving riku and did it fast than Naruto.
Wait did knives get redeem cause I don't remember that but I only watched the anime of trigun.
It's why first evil 100 and I made a villain kind of named Akira that doesn't buy into Naruto bs and he became a villain cause of Naruto though more so hinata.

Agreed. Even Tommy had something of a redemption arc in the original series after he'd been controlled by Rita and was saved by the others.

 

Though as I said, for my Naruto fanfic, I am planning to do a damn good story with redemption for Sasuke. Much better than we got, as well as none of that "Curse of Hatred" crap to excuse his actions.

Though I don't think Tommy needed to be redeem after Jason broken the control over him. Tommy joining the team was his redemption or do you mean post green candle where his power was limited.
