It isn't clear, but apparently the nation's government is finding it hard to control the situation. As a radical sect of Islam called Boko Haram, began bombarding police stations across the North, and attacking Christians. The cause may be, soon Nigeria an oil rich nation, may find itself in a civil war.

The coordinated series of assaults on police stations and other government offices killed at least 200 people.
