Lol. I've had near perfect attendance for pretty much my entire school life. Even on one day, where I was puking buckets as well, I went and took my exam.

Wouldn't have missed it for a sickness.

I had perfect attendance from Kindergarten all the way up to 7th grade, and I would get a certificate each year for it, which my mother loved to show off XD

Then I moved from Jamaica to Florida, and that of course threw the entire record out the window

Oh please, I had perfect attendence all the way towards my Senior Year in high school. Although everyone see me everyday, they didn't pay attention that once in a while I became sick on one day each year (that change around senior year) and I had a vacation around the end of my 7th grade year.

And til this day, I still couldn't believe that I received perfect attendence certificates because some teachers/admins forgot about my absences.

I don't know how you could go to school in the second half of senior year. I caught Senioritis as soon as second quarter ended. That's some dedication.

She's coming to University of Maryland huh? Maybe I'll see her on campus...

I was also a truant. I used to get perefect attendance, until late elementary, because I just didnt care about the certificate. Still, I only missed like maybe 3-4 days a year. Then in high school it was just too easy to ditch so I did to either go look at cars, or play at some arcades. I straightened out though.

I almost had to do that for missing 11 days out of the 180 days last year.
I had to go to some meeting for like 1 hour, and if I missed it, I would've gone to court.

Was this 'court' run by the Student Council/Teachers or something? And just what happened if you were found 'guilty'? Were you suspended or something? o.O

If you have enough unexcused absences, you have to pay truancy, a fine for missing too many days of school while under the drop out age. You have to pay a fine, or you can do the community service.

It was a court as in with a judge and everything, it's like mik3 said.
It was a state thing.

Damn, people with their crazy immune systems these days... Well, here I am, sniffling my nose off, and I'm still going to school. XD My school gives out attendance awards every term. I've gotten two or three, but I'll never be able to go 100% throughout all the years. I've had one or two 100% attendance years, but I think that's as far as I can stretch it.

I had 12 absences in gym before I got my teacher to excuse me from them. xD They were mostly times I came in late, I hated gym. But I did have quite a few actual absences. D: I couldn't go to school every single day evar. That girl is like-- Inhuman.

Oh I simply recalled that yesterday when my father told me he had missed almost 100 days in his Sophomore year and my mother and I just looked at him, and said, "WTF?! "

He had to pay up and he luckily graduated (though I don't know why my grandmother thought it was ok...)

I almost had perfect attendance for 13 years. But it didn't happen because i had to be 1/4 day absent to apply for a visa.

there was a girl in my sister's graduating class who got about $250 for having perfect attendance
