Now we have glow-in-the-dark dogs:
Story here

Though I'm all for technology and scientific advancement, I do feel a bit sorry for the poor things, to be essentially born just to be lab experiments ^^

Yeah, but if we don't watch it, they may develop Underdog soon. That would be a tad weird.

on one hand, i find it cute that they "glow in the dark". on the other hand, i'm like saku-chan: i feel sorry for the poor doggies growing up as lab experiments.

I'm a little wary of this still. The idea that it can help with disease is all well and good, but it also seems rather cruel to the animals. Being clones is no excuse for using them solely as experiments. They're living creatures, and the scientists working on these projects seem to have forgotten that. For God's Sake, all of them have the same name.
I guess, if one of them dies, they don't have to feel bad, because they have spares.

I don't like the fact that they are using dogs as lab experiments and probably arn't going to get a loving home, but like they said; it is a step forward for disease protection and as long as they don't harm the dogs, i think it's needed... though i still don't like it.
