Ugh. I hate it. It's like they've stolen the whole series. I can't even like the few things, like a story about Shikamaru, that aren't weighed down by terrible NH/SS ending.

Pretty much my exact thoughts too. I have no hope for the future of canon Naruto as this ending combined with the Last has tarnished the canon story permanently. Fanfiction is all that Naruto truly has left, as the world and characters can still be great if not left in the hands by Kishi and SP.
