Naruto Gaiden - Chapter 700.3 - Chance Meeting 1

 

Reminder: Make a new thread for chapters, first post being the chapter link. Just like all 700 of the previous Naruto chapters.

Meh. Boring chapter. Naruto runs away from Burrito so he can be with Sasuke. Hinata apparently has her hair cut similar to Sakura. Pokemon have officially invaded Naruto. Also Naruto seems to be so full of himself that he is talking about "His villages kids are good children."

So...all the new technology in the Naruto Gaiden universe, and the villain whips out a chained star? Nothing new in the way of weapons? Just phones and computers and skyscrapers?

And of course the girls get saved. This is Naruto. No girls can stand on their own. Even the child of Sasuke and Sakura.

Still, glad the manga is still focused on Sarada and not the NH dynamic. Keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and the whole thing to suddenly revolve around Hinata.

I think it makes that the girls wouldn't be able to handle that onion guy alone, they're not even graduates yet. What boggles me is why Shikamaru let two girls, one of them an uchiha venture into the wilds for a delivery when they're not even genin yet and knowing there was a new enemy around...really?

 

Otherwise you make a good point about the technology dissonance, on one side they have phones and on the other side there was no further improvement on the weapons

It's like this man just started drawing these characters and has never seen them before.

Yes, I thought that too. In the end, he's supposed to be swooping in all heroic-like, and all I could think was how it no longer look like the old Naruto I used to like. There's just nothing. And it's not that he's too mature — even Minato looked cool when he was Naruto's age. He just no longer looks like Naruto.

Yes about Shikamaru. Has he been asleep at the wheel the whole time?!? Chides Naruto for letting a clone play with Bolt, then lets the clone do the work while he goes after Sasuke... and now this! Why did he even let them go?

Maybe it's just me or all of us but I find Sakura more beautiful then Hinata ever could be.

If you want people to move conversation to this thread you need to close the 'Ninja Gaiden' One, otherwise everyone will just converse there and this will be a ghost thread like the last two.

So I was right about the spoiler with Bolt, typical Kishimoto retcon, This entire manga has been a retcon for the epilogue, Signs of Naruto still not eating something besides Ramen, we have Hinata prepare a Bento for him. Signs of Naruto being a bad father, so make sure to have him appoligise before he leaves to show how much he cares.

 

The whole letting Sarada take the bento to Naruto was plain idiotic, this is the fastest ninja around and Shika expects two not even Genin catch up to him? Seriously that makes no sense.

 

Also like I said in my previous post about the spoilers, Kishi can't dare to make Hinata look bad, look how she's preparing Bento for his loving mother,, ofcourse it's typical Kishi, he can't actually write the two together because he knows they are boring as paint drying, so he has to have people mention their bond, because showing it would not be possible to do convincingly.

 

The new enemies are definitely related to Zetsu somehow, I have a bad feeling it might end up being Kabuto who after seeing Itachi's last action got obsessed by him, this would make sense as he was the one who got close to Obito before the final battle so might have stolen information on how to create Zetsu clones and also figured out how to improve on them.

Man, Naruto is so old fashioned running to Sasuke.. why didn't he just take a car? It isn't as if they live in a ninja world or anything.

You're catching on.... There are plenty of options to encourage members to abide by our simple requests.

 

And it's not just the mods being tough — it's terribly unfair to other members to hijack one thread with all manner of conversation, so that no one can find the specific topic they want to read.

Hopefully it won't come to closing the thread, even temporarily. Cause it's not like we're asking members to behave any differently than they have with any of the other 700 Naruto chapters.

 

But dumping all conversation into a single thread doesn't do anyone any favors. All it does it make it hard to find what you want to read. So, the mods will do what we have to do to get people back in the habit of using chapter threads for chapter discussion. Maybe even closing the Gaiden thread a few times. Hopefully not, but who knows.

Apparently it's Bolt x Sarada and Chou Chou x Mitsuki.  Good.  I was hoping there wasn't going to be any stupid love triangle.

Already I'm hating that Celebi kid and whom he's referring to as "father".  It's possible that Sasuke has some illegitimate children which is no surprise.

I liked the Sarada & Chou Chou vs Shin fight, the girls got some cool moves.

Hated how Naruto saved them at the end, that guy saves f-cking everyone and it gets old.

Naruto is butt-ugly, uglier than ever, I can guarantee you'll hate him just by looking at his face.
