Why is the kages fight being avoided? There are 2 big fights going on, and my only guess, is that if something were to happen to Tobi, that it affect Madara as well. Kinda like, Tobi is stabbed, and then, Madara feels a stab in his chest during the kage battle, and then, we would have a panic attack from the ultimate cliffhanger.

We might see some of the kage's fight later on, but kishimoto's got a lot on his plate already, so who knows.

because the kage's fight does not have importance, it a nonsense battle.
it's just a battle the keep th kages busy.
