I'm not surprised at all. This not the first time that Kishi contradicts himself... In the FG, Naruto was the loser who must work hard in order to achieve his dreams. He said that he will change his destiny. Well in the NG, we discovered that he's the child of prophecy and that he's the reincarnation of Ashura... So after all, Neji was right, the ones who become Hokage are already decided before their birth...

From this page, you can see that both Naruto and Sakura were suffering from unrequited love... Naruto's love for Sakura is as legit as Sakura's love for Sasuke fgs...
It was not just a simple childhood crush. If smh they tell us in the movie that it was the case, I'll know that this movie is indeed a huge asspull that contradicts the manga.

If i see SS moments in the movie i will puke.
You will see something much worse than that: Naruto's love for Sakura getting destroyed and ridiculed, in order to make us believe that Naruto will have the strongest love for Hinata.
